What a fantastic experience! Delicious modern Australian food with French inspiration. The dishes were balanced and generous. The gas fire inside made it warm on a rainy day but also looks a great spot to visit when it's sunny with seating outside. Good selection of drinks and attentive staff. Highly recommend

This place is amazing.Many choices of fine wines, gin and whiskey. Plus some other drinks.The food is cooked perfectly and served in a timely manner.We got the lamb and the risotto. We also got a side of broccoli that were very big pieces and flavoursome.Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful! Loved it,really special. Delicious food and ambiance. So well presented too. Wood fired cheese cake and stone fruits .., omg! Definitely recommend.

Hidden gem in Belgrave. Food was a hit. Especially enjoyed the crispy skin barramundi. Inventive cocktails and mocktails. Attentive service. We hope to return soon. Many thanks for a lovely evening.

A few things:Menu is carefully thought out. Really great mix of flavours for differing palates.Cosy ambience with just the right amount of lighting.It took about 10 minutes to receive our entree, and about 20 to 30 minutes to receive mains. Oh so worth every minute. My partner had the beef tartare and slow cooked lamb, and I had the pork belly. Best decision ever. Meat so tender, well seasoned with a slightly smoky taste, accompanied with crisp and juicy vegetables.For dessert I had the chocolate cremeaux and my partner had the passionfruit Basque cheesecake.The cremeaux had a tantalising mix of textures, crispy, smooth and silky, spongey. Each element on the plate stood out individually, and married together so well.The Basque cheesecake was smooth in texture, slightly more runnier in the middle as Basque Cheesecakes should be. The tartness of the passionfruit combined with the creaminess of the cheesecake was a match made in heaven.The service from the host, Adrian was second to none, and our waitress was so attentive. We watched both of them do their job well. Compliments to the chefs behind the pass as well.We will be returning!Kristina and Dean

We had a great dinner here on Sunday night. The food was delicious! We had a few entrees, then mains and two desserts. Couldn't fault the food, it was so tasty! The Creme brulee for dessert was amazing.The service was equally good. So friendly and welcoming. Knowledgeable about the food and wine. They clearly have had good training.The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, not too loud. Had a great table new the window and fire. Very cosy on a chilly winters night.Highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to going back.

Hands down the best meal I’ve had at a restaurant, ever! And that’s a big call. We shared the halloumi starter (AMAZING) and each had a main, the pork belly and the pressed lamb. The lamb dish was honestly the best meal I have had, perfectly cooked and flavoured! The carrots were the tastiest carrots I’ve ever eaten, and they weren’t even the feature on the plate. Thank you for bringing incredible food to The Hills :)

Five star first class dining in Belgrave. Cognoscenti Food and Wine on Burwood Hwy Belgrave, right next to the Cameo Cinema, delivers the right balanced fusion of Italian and French cuisine.The menu I feel is rather unique offering a variety to suit many palates, but I warn you, each dish is mouth watering and the belt across my waist had to be loosened.We sampled right across the menu with two dishes from each category and it was standing ovation for each.Will certainly be back for many more times.
