The oval is close to train statio n and its located at the end of Handley Ave. It is surrounded by bush and the air is always fresh and clean. Great place to exercise and walk your kids. Its also the starting point of the Great Northern Bush Walk. There are different flowers flower at different time of the year. Very pretty too except that the Thornleigh Oval signboard is not very flash.

Nice oval, good facilities and surrounded by Lane Cove National Park, if you feel adventureous you can always go for a bush walk through the various tracks the national park to various lookouts

Brillant oval they have toilets (ancient) - Very clean and neat. gate way into the lane cove river trails or the scenic lookout for a quick walk. great in the spring for pic taking. close to the lorna pass walk to gain an insight into the local fauna and flora.....THIS HAS NOT BEEN HAZARD BURNEDHEAPS OF PARKING AROUND OR WALK FROM TRAIN STATION/SHOP - PLAZA MALL.
