Australia Post - Brisbane GPO

I had to write a review of my experience getting my passport at this post office because it was just outstanding- the level of care, attention, empathy, understanding and professionalism of the staff at this post office, especially Leslie- was just incredible and I couldn’t have had a more positive experience. Somebody needs to assign Leslie as the CEO of Australia post. I have never received better customer service. This is not a joke or an exaggeration.Thankyou so much Brisbane gpo Australian post.

I went to the Brisbane GPO post office to lodge a priority passport application. The staff could not have been more helpful. Even though we were arriving fairly close to closing time, as we had to drive from the Gold Coast, Julie was very helpful in seeing to it that we were attended to promptly. Next Holly went through all our application documents with us and was extremely helpful in assisting us with tips and advice on how to urgently obtain a document we were missing. She was able to help me with the right information which even the passport office themselves had failed to tell me after a number of very stressful calls to them. The next day I had to return and lodge an extra document for my application and Amy was very helpful in making sure I got to speak with Holly again to ensure continuity of service. As a result I was able to have my urgent passport application processed speedily and without any hassles. A huge thankyou to you all - I am truly blown away by the excellent level of customer service I received.

Ellie was an absolute delight helping us with passport photos and applications. This post office is always well managed and runs smoothly.

Had 2 occasions where I had to visit where I received a card for a parcel. Went there early Saturday morning when they said there was something wrong with the system and even packages could not be retrieved. I accepted it and put it down to a once off issue. However, this morning, I arrived also as it opened and had such a long queue of people to stand in because even for a parcel pickup, you need to stand in line!! Not very efficient at all! There were a lot of grumbly people in the queue (because it was so long and had only 1 staff...and then 2) but I noticed the staff were doing the best they could to be calm and deliver a good service so 1 more star for that.

I'd give 10 gold stars if I only could!From watching the greeter and counter staff extend ever little courtesy to the elderly gentleman paying his cc bill ahead of me to efficiently handling my rather complex reasons to be there, I was wow'd from start to finish.And people responded to the staff's professionalism. There was wave after wave of courtesy and kindness that flowed through the queue as people smiled, helped each other, and genuinely looked delighted to be there.Special mention the staff member who handled my expedited passport renewal today (WOW - she's fabulous) and the greeter on duty around 2PM (WOW - she's gracious).Hats off to the store designer as well...great flow.Keep up the stellar work 261 Queen Street & take a bow.You deserve it.

I just want to say that I am absolutely disappointed by the service I received today. My father in-laws passed away this morning and we need to schedule an urgent trip to go back to Hong Kong. However, my son needs his passport done for the trip and we rushed into the city. We arrived 11.50am but then got told by the lady who greeted at the front that they are no longer doing the passport for the rest of the day. I tried to explain our situation but she just simply said they are closed for Passport today but still open for other services. I checked on the website and it says you do not close until 12.30. She just kept walking away only answered question by question, which couldn’t help to make me think she tried to avoid to have conversation with me. I am truly disappointed in your service today and I was nearly break down in the shop. Very cold hearted service no sympathy under this situation.

I went to this post office with an emergency to renew my 15 year old son's passport. Who had missed travelling with his mum and sister as his passport was going to expire in 5 months most airlines require a minimum 6 months passport validityto make matters worst , a child passport needs to have both parent consent. to make it even more complicated my wife has change of name on her passport and Birth certificate. with all these complications and time running out , I was being served and helped by this amazing lady called Kim. This lady is a shining example of patience . I had to sign inside the box due to stress I signed twice outside of box and the form has to completely newly done and witnessed etc etc .. This lady had exceptional customer service skills and made me and my son very comforting. I thank the GPO in brisbane and this amazing beautiful lady in particular for going above and beyond. My son can join his sister , grandparents and his mum thanks for this. The passport will be issued in 2 business days

I love the building of the GPO and the modern spacious building inside is lovely and very clean. The staff pays attention to you and ask if you need help. There are many cashiers ready to help as well as self serve counters.There are a lot of things to buy for young and old, for personal use or gifts. There’s a philatelist for serious or beginning collector of stamps.

The most disgusting, inhumane service I have ever received by any business.Sue, the acting manager of this branch, gave the most degrading and false excuses due to her extreme incompetence and clear lack of professionalism, decency or respect for someone her branch has directly made numerous mistakes in direct affect of my well being.Do not utilise this post office with any expectation of care or service. I hope Sue is relocated to the delivery centre and is never employed in a customer facing role again.
