Very good for a day out..but the beach is a bit far and had to walk a lot in hot sand..as we visited there in the summers..

Surf Life Saving Lakes Entrance
Nice food, for the location, and service. Too much chips and poor ice-cream for the kids tho.Walk across the footbridge to the beach past the surf club is well worth doing during a visit to Lakes Entrance. Also take the round walk from the club and cafe to the actual Entrance. Walk along the coast one way, and back along the lakeside the other way.

Surf Life Saving Lakes Entrance
Darcey Anna's cafe and gift shop under the surf club has great coffee, homemade cakes and fantastic fish and chips... there's something for everyone. beautiful stunning view. hammocks and picnic rugs to relax on... toys to keep the little ones occupied and happy... very friendly helpful staff... i love this place... highly recommended for breakfast, lunch, ice cream or coffee and cake

Surf Life Saving Lakes Entrance
Lakes Entrance is a great place to run down the dunes or swim in the ocean water in the warmer months. The lifeguard station is large and has a good view over the area. There are clean toilets and change rooms here too.

Great place to serve in this area. Nice place for picnic and both river and ocean are good to go for swimming
