Good place for mechanical repair

If i could give this place no stars that would be the first thing i do. I had been referred to go to this mechanic to get my subaru wrx tuned. I thought they would know what they are doing since they tune a lot of WRX'S but they definitely don't!i have had my car DYNO tuned by young Dan through them and a week later my car started having fuel cut issues. So i took the car back in and wanted Danny to tune it, and fix the issue, i was told i might need a 460 fuel pump and my current fuel pump was not enough, but the issue has been fixed for now.Same thing i picked up the car a week later the same thing happend. By this time my bill with Sandown Mechanical was $1300 in labour charges.i then went out and purchased exactly what he needed to get the car right, spent another $450 and supplied the parts.i had mentioned that i have water leak from near the turbo as well. After a couple of days he calls me saying we have a further issue. He had my car on the dyno with all the new parts in and still had the same issue. He then told me he needed new Coils, so i went out and supplied him the coils.After all this he tried charging me a further $1700 in Labour only, when he had told me it would cost a further $330 for the re tune, $100 for fiting the fuel pump, $300 to do the wiring for the pump. But then tried to rip me another $1000 to install a fuel pressure regulator.Anyway, after not agreeing to pay him the $1700 , we agreed for me to pay him $700 and he would get the car right, HIS WORDS ( i spent all this time on it i want to get the car right )Its now day 3 and i only drove the car home from his workshop,- I Still have a water leak- i now have an engine light- the car doesn't idle properlyand god knows what else.I would never ever recommend this workshop nor will i ever step a foot into this lying organisation! All they want is your money and cant get a car right! Wish i paid the extra money and took the vehicle to a reputable Tuner!

Great service nothing is a problem for them

Absolutely useless, they broke as much stuff as they fixed and have taken it upon them selfes to make every excuse they can to try not to fix their mistakes, worst mechanics/tuners ive ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

This is the worst an unbelievable place to take your car in!!!! A zero star more like it I should say! I've checked the car before it went in the SANDOWN MECHANIC REPAIRS and every bolts and clip on screws were all on and it went thru the worsted rain that I know but when the car came out from there! Missing screw, clip on's, bolts, scratches, water leaking and so on and who knows what else is missing or might find later on!!!Even they don't know what they doing...There mechanic licences should be provoke or closed down!!!What a rip off and a dodge place I should say...They are more of a wrecking the car instead of fixing it!!!!!!!

Integrity, honesty, attention to detail, affordability and quality work is not what most would say about workshops but Sandown Mechanical Repairs is all of the above. I have been a customer of theirs nearly 10 years now. They have done all performance and tuning work on my previous vehicle and also do the standard servicing for my current vehicle and partners as well. They listen to what you want with your car and have a wealth of knowledge to point you in the right direction. They always, always ring and confirm prior to any additional work that is required outside of what has been agreed upon prior to commencing. The Dan's, Leah and the team are exceptional at what they do and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Keep up the great work!
