Grace Removals Sunshine Coast

Interstate move from Syd to Sunny Coast. No communication that my haul had arrived in the Sunshine Coast. Was told that I couldn't have my move completed for 3 weeks, then had to chase for 3 days to find out when I could pick up my belongings, only to find out that couldn't be done for another week and a half.The excuse is, they're too busy. Your resourcing issues are not my problem. I'd love to know what the excuse is for the terrible customer service and communications.The one star is for the service I received from the removalists in Sydney.Will never use again.

We used Grace Removals today for our relocation to Twin Waters. The entire team were fantastic, the team leader Daniel was training a new member of staff and explained to us as soon as he arrived that the staff member was on his first day and we would hear him instructing more than what would normally be usual. The team done a great job and were extremely respectful. Although we had a couple of huge concrete tables which were extremely heavy and pushed them to their weight limit, at no time did they complain and simply got the job done. We highly recommend this company.

WOW what can I say?! This is the third time using Grace services, and every time it just gets better and better! I’m actually writing this review as the uplift crew from Sunshine Coast are just finishing up - Mike and Daniel thank you for being troopers coming out on a Saturday in the rain to help me out with my move. So friendly and efficient! LEGENDS! Thank you! To Kirstie and Alanna, thank you for all your help and guidance during this time, you made my move so easy - very friendly, responsive and just an awesome group of people at the Sunshine Coast location. I've never written a negative Google review in my life, but I am compelled to do so after my horrible experience. I sent a few boxes from Sydney-Sunshine Coast with Grace. Claudia was extremely helpful in booking the service but that's where the good service stopped. One of my boxes was not delivered. I was told to phone the Grace offices and was palmed off to different people, with no one taking ownership and basically saying bad luck. I spent hours on the phone trying to get someone to help. It was the simplest of jobs, moving a small number of boxes. Sydney mentioned they had video footage of the box being loaded. It is impossible to understand how a box can go missing with video footage unless it was stolen. I feel like writing a review is the last resort as I am so upset a box of personal items has been lost and I keep getting ignored by Grace asking for help. After this disgraceful customer service experience, I have asked for a refund and I feel that is the least they can do. It has been a week and still no response.

I found Grace very good to deal with. We were moving from Sunshine Coast to melbourne, with storage for several weeks in Melbourne. They were very careful with our stuff. I liked the good natured way the movers interacted with each other. There were extra benefits which made life easier, like leaving us with a bed, small table and 2 chairs following the removal day so we could stay in the house while cleaning up. They also agreed to deliver one 'Keep Forward' box early on arrival in Melbourne, leaving the rest in storage, for an additional but reasonable charge.

I unfortunately choose Grace Brothers not realising they where a franchise business 7 months ago.I had used this carrier from Melbourne to the Sunshine Coast and had furniture stored for a time then it was sent . Absolutely wonderful in every way, they packed, so clean and did a brilliant job.So when I moved again I contacted Grace Brothers and they packed everything, moved very good furniture as well. Their packing was so disgusting, all packed like rubbish. My expense bed was covered in dirty marks, my leather couches and expensive material couch had dirty finger marks and spotted marks all over. My outside table was chipped, bed bases knocked, chipped. Things where knocked.The worst removal company ever. It cost me$650 to get my couches cleaned. They where so rude and blamed me when I rang straight away. They refused to help me in any way, blamed me.I would never ever recommend them to anybody as the owner didn’t have the courtesy to speak to me and the manager was extremely rude.1 star is too much but have to Fill it in. The price they charged for the worst possible job was very overpriced. Never use them as they are not careful with good furniture, have dirty hands and once they have your money, they don’t care. I know many friends that have moved and certainly would never, ever recommend Grace Brothers, Kunda Park. QLD

Update March 2022. I responded to Graces request for my details so that they could investigate, and I have heard nothing - not even an acknowledgement of my email. I am now guessing that they put that on the bottom of negative feedback to look proactive.... Summary: I cancelled my move. The root cause of the problem was that they did not listen to what I was telling them – unprofessional, frustrating and stressful. Their errors led to my move being delayed for weeks. Will never even consider Grace again. The only plus was they refunded my payment quickly when I cancelled my move with them. That’s why they get one star.The detail: I rang for a quote and all seemed very good and professional. My families move was booked in. Then I heard nothing – chased up for a time when they would be arriving, only to discover that they had not booked in packing, despite being asked to quote on it and me providing an inventory of estimations on how many boxes were left to be packed, (I had packed up most of the house but with three kids there is only so much one can do). So, my move was rescheduled for a couple of weeks later as they didn’t have enough time to do it in one day and would require 2 days. Ok – lucky that our house contract fell though so I didn’t need to get my stuff out of my old house and the folks took the kids (as their rooms were packed up). A new quote was reissued (which now included packing costs) and I had to ring as it contained errors about storage and insurance – I asked Grace to reissue the quote as I didn’t need either as our stuff was going straight into our new house. Then I heard nothing until the week of our move when Grace made contact to confirm all the things that I had already said were wrong. So, they went back to fix the quote and lo and behold the new quote had a nice little rider that they would not be delivering my stuff until a week after they packed it. I rang and was told that they had not scheduled in delivery despite me stating that it was going straight into our new house. There was not enough time to deliver on the two days they were already taking to move me from my mainly packed up house, they would need an extra day to deliver. I moved 1 1/2 hours down the road. We were facing over a week in our new place with no furniture. I rang a new removalist– they heard my story and moved mountains to help me out – pulled a couple of extra guys in and came the next day – moved my stuff in one day. We left some of the packing in our old house – nothing that can’t be bought over in the boot of my car. I had all our furniture, bikes, camping equipment and the 70 plus boxes that I had already packed.

Update:Shortly after my feedback below, I was contacted by a person (name withheld) at Grace Customer Service" who played all shocked by what had happened and offered a one-off small payment towards the damage of our goods. She also went on and on how they were going to send us a hamper for Christmas to "improve our image of Grace removals".The payment was preceded by quite a legalistic a letter where I had to waive any possible further claims against Grace.Needless to say

Our experience moving with Grace Removals was so wonderful, professional and easy. From the fixed price quote, making payment and the good humour of our removalists on the day, I just can not fault them. We are super happy with the service we received!
