John Dory’s Takeaway Lemon Tree Passage (kippys)

Okay food that takes far too long to be made, consistently very slow and the customer service is nothing to write home about today I waited 40! Yes 40 minutes for 4 Bacon and Egg rolls

Well I paddle my kayak across from Taylors beach across the Lemmontree passage I called him and got some fish and chips and people were so nice I ordered some extra pieces of fish so on my paddle back to my girlfriend she’ll have some fish and chips to thank you for looking after me so well I got my fish and chips and wow how cool disease I took a couple of photos so you could see just how good the fish and chips are thank you once again from MWH

Fantastic fish and chips! Highly recommended. Even 1 fish and chips would be enough to feed 2 people so no need to order 2 unless your super hungry. Prices on the food were reasonable, however the drinks costs were pretty expensive for a small shop.

The people working there are really nice but rarely answer phone calls when you ring up for a takeaway, and the end product, in my opinion, is just ok (certainly not terrible but not a mind blowing taste). The service just needs to improve given it is the only fish and chips shop at Lemon Tree Passage . Port Stephens residents deserve excellent quality fish and chips and excellent customer service.

Read so many bad reviews about this place thought We would try it today ordered a seafood basket for 2 it was fresh & delicious. The staff were friendly & quick service will definitely go back when visiting the area.

So this is all this town has too rely on for takeout night!! WHAT A SHAME!!!The staff look like they have slept under the fryers alnight, one lady smokes at the (pick up your order) area, smokes right there while it's drifting into the store, We spent 80+ and the fish peices were tasteless burnt around the edges and one bite. I WAS LIKE PUTTING TWO KIDS CHICKEN NUGGETS TOGETHER AT BASSICLY $3each is highway robberyThe staff look like they have slept under the fryer alnight. Just look dirty and unclean,they wear NO gloves,No one answers the phone, No one looks happy.Come on guys pick up your game!!!!

I was happy with the chips and scallops, but the battered fish was over priced at $10.50 for a such a small piece. I ordered 6 pieces and all of them were small.

Scallops undercooked, battered fish tasted unusual and salad was well overpriced for what you get. Staff were nice but wouldn't go back for the food.

Disgusting tasteless,textureless basa fillet,cut in half and charged $10.90 each. Over cooked under sized scallops as there wasn't any chips left. Waited for 30 mins and couldn't even eat the fish. Luckily kids are burnt dry scallops.

We came out here for a nice drive away from home and to get what we hoped would be an enjoyable lunch. Instead what we received from John Dory’s fish and chips shop was average and subpar food. We had ordered the family pack which included 4 pieces of fish and 4 serves of chips, 3 crumbed and 1 battered, and an extra piece of battered fish on the side. The girl behind the counter was evidently confused as to what we were trying to order so instead of asking to repeat what we said, she looked at us as if we had just ordered in a foreign language. Upon receiving our food we found a decent BBQ area not far away from the restaurant which was the only enjoyable part of this take-away experience. The fish that we consumed was quite clearly frozen then reheated upon serving. I’m fairly certain packing peanuts would have contained more flavour than the salt-less chips we were given. The dead fish just outside the restaurant would have held more flavour than the meal we received.
