Great selection of books at much more affordable prices than you find at other stores. Shout out to their amazing customer service team too.

Great books but the prices are not as inexpensive as once was. Unfortunately the staff does not have a clue about serving people. One of the most extraordinary experiences as a customer with the STAFF MEMBER expressing her opinion about a comment I had made to my companion, and BECOMING ABUSIVE AND THREATENING TO ME. I left without buying the books I had selected, nor will I ever return due to this threatening experience.

Little disappointing due to not being able to get all the books l wanted but, what l did manage to get, were at a huge discount. I definitely will visit again.

I've ordered from The Book Grocer about a half-dozen times now, and the books have always arrived quickly, well-packaged, and in great condition. Even the used books have little to no visible wear. The clearance section is a great place to peruse, and the overall selection is quite broad. Highly recommended.

Great bookstore with books at half price or less, as they buy end of run books, though still brand new. Similar to an awesome chain of stores in Texas called Half Price Books which also bought your second hand books. I wish The Book Grocer also did that and was three times the size. Browsing is great fun as you don't know what you'll discover, including some lovely vintage-styled posters. A great bookstore to return to and for anyone who loves the thrill of the chase!

What a surreal experience at this store...Looked like a well stocked book store, but I can say it's the first time in over 30 years that I've ever been kicked out of a book store.While on holidays, our performance group went in to shop for books in what looked like an empty store. Didn't see any other customers or any staff as I walked in. We were checking out books that may have been good to do a narration of for a podcast (romance novels softly narrated in a lighthearted way).But alas, a lady that unbeknownst to me had been organising shelves a few rows over suddenly spoke up in a stern voice.We were told that a book shop is not the place to be reading books and we should go to a library instead, that book stores contain all different kinds of books and that shouldn't come as a surprise and that what we are doing isn't even funny...it's a little bit funny..."
