Harry & Me

Was very disappointing to find, because I didnt have my smart phone with me, I wasn't able to shop. There was no offer of a paper sign in, even though i requested one.I was told I needed to provide my Vax status also. Which isn't a requirement for retail anymore. Happy to comply with personal medical details where its legal.Overall I felt judged and discriminated against.

We want to thank Amanda and the team at Harry and Me, who offer a beautiful shopping experience to our guests visiting the region. It's the little personal touches and exquisite customer care that our guests have expressed make the difference, not to mention the gorgeous selection of Australian and International designer clothing. I’ve been delighted with my experience shopping for my wife at Harry and Me. They stock a beautiful range and the store is well presented. I no longer have to go to Melbourne to shop for gifts as the girls know exactly what I should purchase for her. The owner and her team are knowledgeable and very helpful. Thanks for all of your help over the last few years.

Visited @harryandmedaylesford on Saturday 07th April 2018, after taking my Mum out to lunch for her Birthday. I thought i would take her to see the shops that are renowned on Vincent St. and buy her a few things. Unfortunately we experienced the absolute worst customer service. The owner racially profiled the entire group of people I had brought in to the store. From the moment we walked in she was on us like a dog on heat. Clearly the sight of ethnic and brown people threw her for a loop and she flipped and didn’t know how to react so she’s stooped to the lowest level possible. For no reason whatsoever she decided to not allow us to browse and or touch anything and then threatened to call the police!!!!! We couldn’t believe what we were hearing. She actually told us to leave. No business in Melbourne would ever talk to any customer like this let alone racially profile them and threaten to call the Police. You should be ashamed of yourselves Harry and Me. And thanks for ruining my Mum’s Birthday. If I could give you less than 1 star I would give you -0.

Every trip to Daylesford always includes a visit to Harry & Me. With the events of 2020, it’s been exactly two years since last dropping in but time has not changed this wonderful experience & the discovery of something new to add to the wardrobe. But what makes Harry & Me so special for me is the conversation you enjoy with Amanda & her team; together with their incredible service & attention to detail - like when you walk into the dressing room & the pieces you’ve selected have been beautifully laid out with an accessory hint that will just take the outfit to another level! It’s so lovely to see my favourites places emerge from the cocoon of 2020 & I truly hope it’s not two years before I return.

Harry and me is a beautiful store with the lovliest warm and welcoming staff. I have been shopping there for the last two years and every shopping experience is an enjoyable treat. The stock is gorgeous with a good mix of Australian and International Designers and I particularly love their stunning jewellery cabinets, which are a constant source of temptation.

Off for fabulous weekend to Daylesford with wonderful daughter with plans to indulge and spend on whatever we felt likeWent down the fabulous shopping strip with friendly lovely shopsExcept one.....Harry and MeWe were the only ones in the shop on a very wet dayBut we were determined, we were shoppingBoth assistants behind the counter looked at us up and down then made us feel unwelcome with sullen looksI thought maybe they didnt see us and were suffering from somethingBut no continued to ignore usWe wondered what could elicit this responseMy daughter is thin ,I am stockyOr maybe just lack of manners....Needless to say i guess they wont miss us on a regular visits to Daylesford

I gave this review one star only because there was no option for a 'no star' response.Appalled but not surprised to hear of friends' encounter with brazen hostility and ethnic discrimination from the proprietor or staff of this establishment. It is sad to see Mrs Fontanella - who I can only assume is the descendant of migrants who were probably persecuted sometime not long ago for not being satisfactorily 'White' enough for the Anglo-Celtic settler-colonial occupiers - allow herself or her staff to project that same fear and hatred onto my friends. Daylesford is notorious for cultivating its faux progressive, 'socially sophisticated' facade crafted to attract the tourist dollars of Narrm (Melbourne), but beneath that is White supremacy's festering hatred and the deep-seated sense of un-belonging that comes with the perpetual estrangement from a Country one claims as 'their own'. Sadly, it would seem this establishment is no exception from this problem. Harry and Me operates on the stolen land of the Dja Dja Wurrung People of the Kulin Nation - always was, always will be Dja Dja Wurrung Country! It would behove Mrs Fontanella to remember this the next time representatives of her establishment falsely assume the authority to decide who is welcome on that Country.
