Terrible customer service and cold, unfriendly staff. Do yourself a favor and go to the Upper ferntree gully post office near Maxi Foods instead. So much better , happy staff that great you with a smile instead of these rude people that make you feel you are an inconvenience to them..

Unfortunately all the other poor reviews on here are correct, possibly the worst customer service at any business I have been to in the state.The only thing they are nailing is the consistency in service. Always rude, always condescending, always happy to leave you standing there all day while they move at a snails pace and chat & always leaving you standing out the front well past opening hours.Obviously Auspost won’t do anything as they are just an LPO which is a shame. I dread seeing a carded package to this store as I know it will be 100 times harder than it needs to be to pick anything up.Anyone sending items read the warnings of other reviews carefully, I’ve been ripped off a number of times at this post office like others and if you need help with sending something out of the ordinary don’t bother with this store.

Unfortunately this is the post office I have to go to when collecting parcels. The two staff members are rude, cheerless, and act as if it's an inconvenience to serve you. More often than not they can't find your parcel and leave you waiting for ages without an apology.If you can go to another post office I would definitely give this one a miss.

The staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. They charged my partner a $10 fee to send a prepaid parcel a few weeks ago. We went back today to send another prepaid parcel to have them try and charge us again. After explaining that we didn't have to pay for it because it was prepaid they were extremely rude and just kept insisting that we had to pay.So we ended up leaving and driving down to Rowville Post office instead, where they were extremely helpful and sent off our parcel with no problems.I'm shocked that they think they can get away with this sort of behavior and treatment of customers we will definitely not be going back to the mountain gate postoffice. Very disappointing.

Unfortunately the negative reviews are correct. I detest this post office and dread whenever I receive notification of a parcel waiting there for me.The staff have no customer service skills and don't seem to even care. It is always SO SLOW to get in and out as the staff often chat amongst themselves while you are stuck waiting.....and waiting....and once you finally get served it is not even a pleasant exchange.If a parcel requires a signature I redirect it to Knoxfield post office just down the road who are lovely to deal with.

I reluctantly give them one star (they don't deserve it). Dread going here because there is always a problem. Staff are exceptionally rude and more often than not the post office has a very bad odour. Went today to buy Xmas stamps and was told they didn't have any. They were happy then to just ignore me. Asked if there was an alternative ... 'No'. I then had to purchase 20c and 5c stamps for my cards. Would suggest unless it's unavoidable go elsewhere

I'm very surprised to hear negative comments because I just went in today..picked up a parcel and did a couple of bills plus a passport photo and was pleased with the customer service. The girl serving me was super friendly and the entire staff were super helpful and patient.Good job to the manager and his entire staff. Very pleased with your service !!

There is no way any of the staff members should still have a job. They are the rudest most unhelpful people I have ever come acros!! I will never stepped foot back in this place. Absolutely disgusting Both Indian staff members need to be fired

This is hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had with a post office and explains why it has a 1.8 star rating.I went to this post office to renew a previously expired passport. The manager first gave me documents to fill that were undersized and were unable to be scanned properly so we had to redo the entire process. Next, there was a signature from another person that I received which was entirely eligible, which he deemed as ineligible and we had to get that resorted. After we came back for our third visit he cut my old passport up which is not the right way to void a passport by any means anymore. My attempts to get a passport failed. Also to note, the manager was a very poor communicator and had zero sympathy that we had 3 separate attempts to do something where he kept nitpicking.I then went to boronia post office to get the documents sorted in hope for a better experience and they even offered us free photographs after we mentioned the previous experience above. I now have my passport renewed and I have come to the conclusion that for anyone that needs any sort of proper interaction with someone behind the counter, go to the Boronia one and save yourself some time and kept yourselves sane.
