Obeco Glass Blocks

Paid good money and got a window that leaked. When I complained I was told not to worry, the work is covered by warranty. I got professional advice about the issue and how the job should have been done but Obeco would not take responsibility. Had to wait over 3 weeks since I first reported the leak before anyone came back to inspect the job and then was told it was not there fault. Will refer them to Fair Trading.

This company has 2 great contractors fitting their glass blocks both Ross and Paul are great tradesmen I would recommend them at all times

Obeco, not only were able to help me immediately, advised me the best, most cost effective, way to complete the work. They were absolutely amazing. Great customer service from Michael, I know nothing about installation of glass blocks and with all the detail drawing & tips from the Obeco Glass Blocks team I was able to put it together without any issue.

My unit block engaged Obeco to supply and install awning windows to replace glass blocks in 8 units bathrooms in late 2021.Whilst their workmanship was good, their project management was lacking. The final job was not completed until June 2022 even though the first two units had their windows installed in December 2021. The subcontractor who installed the windows was courteous, professional and knew his craft. However coordination from Obecos project manager was poor with little ownership and repeated excuses for delays.On multiple occasions unit owners and tenants were told the work would take place only for the installer to not turn up as the Obeco project manager could not provide adequate supporting resources to the installing subcontractor. Ultimately a unit owner had to co-ordinate all of the communication between the unit owners and the subcontractor as well as the adjacent apartment block body corporate to facilitate installation.The price was also over $10,000 for 16 windows installed. Whilst they provide the functionality desired the entire experience with Obeco was frustrating and slow. Save your money and time, engage the subcontractor directly and buy windows or materials from Obeco. Do not engage them as a managing contractor.
