I often leave praise but have never been motivated to leave any sort of negative feedback until today.The way I was treated by the assumed owner was appalling!I had parked in one of two Empire reserved car parks out the front of the store with the intention of purchasing some rugs/mats for our new house.Firstly I had to drop my son to a 3:30 tutoring session across the road and returned to the store just after 4.When entering the store I was asked about my car and informed that I had been parked there for 45 minutes and that the store owner had proof/photo. I questioned the timing and then asked if she’d like me to move the car to which she replied, yes?!After moving my car I returned to the store bewildered.For the future, I’d like to remind the owner that as she stated, the car park is private property and therefore, it is illegal to take photos or film someone without their permission.Secondly, advise that it makes absolutely no sense to ask a potential paying customer to leave!I think it is ridiculous that the owner was more focused on a car park then accommodating my shopping needs in a pleasant welcoming environment.Sadly, I would now rather pay $50 in freight to buy the same or similar product online then buy from this local business.

Love visiting and seeing what's new in store. The owners are always lovely and accommodating - always nice to have a chat with. There's always many beautiful pieces which are beautifully styled.

I had the most lovely experience here. Amazing staff who are very knowledgeable and familiar with all of their products. They went above and beyond working with me without being pushy or sales like. So much stock and so much to choose from!! Definitely recommend for homewares and furniture.

Great store or should I say warehouse. Went 3 days running as so much stock to see during 20-50% off Jan. sale. Purchased some lanterns and a floor lamp. Unfortunately the thread at the base of the lamp is far too short to take the load so have to delicately apportion some length to stem & to bolt under marble base. A compromise. Hoping it continues to hold! This is a shortcoming of the manufacturer (Stoneleigh & Roberson though) and no reflection on the retailer. Thanks for answering all my queries though. Regards, Mick.

Gorgeous styled decor and furniture. Really love that lotus root based round glass dining table. But unfortunately it's too big for my place. They can custom make some designs and offer an interior designer. Friendly and helpful. You will be surprised just how much is on offer here at Empire on Hudson street in Hamilton (just opposite Aldi and Curves).Heaps of ideas. Rugs, beds, coffee tables, clocks, coastal styled decor, boho, industrial too.

Great service and great customer satisfaction with the staff, fantastic selection of furniture and accessories for your home. Moina & Paul are the best, great to get tips from and always friendly. We have bought so many items of furniture that make our house look great.

Was walking by this shop when I witnessed the owner yelling at a young mother and baby because she was parked in her car park which was private property. When the mother exclaimed that she was willing to move but was fumbling with her keys cause her child sat in her arms, the owner became louder and more vocal moving closer and closer to the mother blowing smoke everywhere. It was overall a horrible sight to see, with a cooperating mother seen to get more and more flustered and frustrated as the woman who claimed to be an owner exclaims “this is a buisness and private property so I can kick you out” while Inching closer and closer to the baby as the mother shelters her. Will not ever go back and promise to inform anyone I come across about this encounter.

I was moving in to my new house and was about to buy furniture from here but now I’m thinking otherwise. I’m an up and coming trap superstar, you’ve probably heard of me (J swizzle my dizzle and call me pickle). I’m known in every single street and town in every single state and country. I’m world wide baby, Michael Jackson is jealous of my dope beats I lay down. it’s just pure fire, I can’t get over how good I am. anyways I got s but off track there my I was gonna spend some of that hard earned cheddar from sweatin it or on the beat laboratory and buy some dope furn (swag name for furniture) but now I won’t. jessy grace your a saint and I salute you

I am constantly complimented on the beautiful furniture in my house, almost all of which comes from Empire. The pieces are unique and high quality and the staff are always incredibly helpful.
