Milk Haus
One of our road trip favourites. Only a few minutes drive from Milton and Ulladulla this is a destination restaurant to add to your South Coast itinerary. They grow their own veggies, the salmon gravlax I had was made in house and they stock local produce for sale. How good to eat something healthy and tasty and know where the ingredients have come from. Highly recommend stopping here on your way to Narooma.

Really good fresh simple food done well. Most of the produce comes from their own adjacent garden which you are welcome to wander through - but don't pick. The setting is rustic and relaxed with both indoor and outdoor seating. The smoothies are terrific. There is onsite parking but it can be quite muddy after rain.

Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast here. Everything was super tasty and different to the usual breakfast cafe options. Staff super nice and atmosphere was perfect.A little on the expensive side with our long black coffee $5.50 each and Turkish eggs with a side of bacon came to $37.95 (was essential since there wasn’t many options with meat)

A saunter through the hills at anytime inspires artists. If you feel breakfast is a celebration of the day ahead then no better way of kissing the dawn and taking your beloved to a restaurant of enchantment. On a romantically named bumpy road called Woodstock road if you stop as the emerald green hills seem to surround you, you will hear the most amusing creative bird songs of the Australian bush. Magpies for Australians might introduce thoughts of gravy dripping pies or footballs flying through goal posts. For me it’s a time to get serious about really good food and no better place than this South Coast treasure with integrity that links both the gritty hard work of producing food with intensity of flavours.Milk Haus was a treat from the moment I arrived. The window panes were designed, pictures of fowl coiffed and attention to detail in designing the interior was evident. I could not stop drinking in with my eyes and eating in my minds eye. My senses were being tuned. The first sip of my flat white coffee made with soy made me taste this drink like, the first time. A new moment on an old girls lips is a fine find. Then the menu: oh what choice to be had!Was I to limit myself with only a serving of corn fritters topped with two perfectly poached farm fresh eggs? These darlings from the farm were on top of the most delicious corn fritters I have ever eaten. To my delight they were paired with a breakfast favourite of mine: slices of avocado, perfectly ripe and ‘darted’ with black sesame seeds. The dish danced on the plate when orange sprinkles and the most delicious salt and finely sliced roasted almonds were added … you think I lie? Wondering, how any dish might be so involved and intricate…!The truth is, I could not choose, not with any honest attitude of deep indulgence which taunts the indulgent minds of gourmands. So, I ordered the other offering from the menu, the waffles. Now, I have to tell you that waffles in my house come only for birthdays and Christmas always served with fresh raspberries, ice cream and maple syrup. I mix the batter from a recipe, not a packet! This dish came with locally grown figs and their sweetness was heightened with that crazy good salt which I found earlier on my corn fritters. A dollop of cream & a fresh pink and I had a whole new experience which contrasted with past. Who ever knew pinks were edible?Completely glorious! Thank you team Milk Haus! Come visit me at Masaaki’s in Tassie

Fantastic, having lunch at in the court yard is a great experience, the food was amazing so good that we came back a week later and had exactly the same food. The staff are very nice and friendly and I’m planning on going back this Friday to try their breakfast.Wayne & Susan, Thirroul

What a delightfully delectable divine experience. Lunch on a Saturday - unrushed, warm and friendly service matched by promptly paced plates from the kitchen. Every staff member was smiling and charming even from the open plan kitchen - no panicked or temperamental chefs here. Locally grown produce from the garden you can walk around. Have a cheeky cocktail. Don’t miss the desserts. We wanted to explore more of the menu. Totally satisfied and entertained - definetly coming back and exploring more. Cannot rate high enough. Table 7 ❤️
