Daintree Riverview Lodges & Van Park

Facilities a bit primative and 'rustic', but very wonderful part of the world. Be sure to take the crocodile boat tour and get the free extra tour down river thrown in. It was excellent. They even allowed us to take our dogs with us and they enjoyed it too.

Turned up after reception was closed. Happy enough to open up and take us in. It probably helped 5 groups turned up at the same time. We stayed in unpowered camping area. Nice spot and good location to explore the Daintree rainforest.

Great location near the Daintree ferry, fabulous campsite - staying in lodges is outdated and basic however does have everything you need.Location is on upper Daintree River, 10mins from crossover to Daintree village and Cape tribulation. Set beside the River is a great backdrop, beware of the bugs. Camping sites and lodges available with the croc express going every hour or so from the boat ramp.Lodges are extremely dated, if you or someone you're travelling with likes to stay somewhere 'nice' here is probably not the best option. No wardrobe or sockets near beds, outdated decor, no where to unpack or really even place your things, bed was an ok sleep, outdated sheets and towels, tin roof. Having said that the rooms did have their own fridge (shared deck space and shared mini outdoor kitchen) rooms had ceiling fan, aircon, bath towel supplied, things were moderately clean just some bugs and webs in corners.If you are usually campers or used to very basic accommodation this is great, however if you're under the impression that this is a luxury River Lodge cabin it is not (we may have read between the lines a little too much on booking.com thinking we had our own balcony overlooking the river etc).Friendly locals running the place, amazing antique mini museum attached, croc express were fab and the pub/hotel across the road is nice too - they even had a vegan burger option! Apparently Optus and Telstra have internet signal here, Vodafone will only get you phone service with no internet, no Sims sold nearby either - Mossman is your closest town for everything you could need from woollies etc.Thank you for a great experience!!

Laid back and beautiful.The camp sites are well done with soft grass to set up your tent. Kitchen and amenities are close by and well maintained. The owner had created a snack little exhibition on the site which has really cool stuff, old cars and tools. Lots of stuff you rarely see anymore.I loved to stay there and on top it's right beside the boat ramp where several tours start.

Beautiful find! Very friendly and welcoming owners. We stayed in the rooms. They are simple but clean and there is all you need. Don't go for it if you are after a luxury place, but if you love nature, amazing views, calm and relaxing atmosphere, that is a perfect place. Loved our stay there!

It's a simple but very good place to stay. Owners are really friendly, facilities are big and clean and the small museum is great to see as well. Good place to eat across the street as well. Definitely recommend this campground!

Very nice old fashioned campground with flat grassy sites for tents with river view. Amenities were very clean.They also offer boat tours to see the Daintree river and spot crocs into the wild.
