Be careful of dates! I went today and had to report to food authorities. They have frozen meat out of date! I was informed by authorities that it is illegal to sell any product whether fresh or frozen with a use by date it is also illegal to charge or sell these foods. It is also illegal to redate any food products that have a use by date. These products with a use by date can only be given free or thrown out. Once out of date products are even part defrosted can not be refrozen as they become toxic or contaminated the risk of ecoli, food poisoning and other food related poisoning will occur. I have notified the authorities and supplied photos and products with fraudulant dates and relabelled frozen meats. I purchased pork , chicken with original frozen dates under their rebates dating back to 3/10/2021 these are even past the frozen dates! 6 months is even past freezing recommendations. Other than having to check dates the co op is very good for us low income people. You need to be on centrelink to buy there. Free breads, donuts rolls daily many other items but please if your not using the meats the same day dont buy them your health is at risk and can cause death or food poisoning.

Great place to get a few groceries if you are on a tight budget.Very friendly and supportive people working there.Most prices are below supermarket retail, and offer free loaves of bread.$2 annual membership fee, however in general it used to save me $30 per week on groceries.I can't get there now as it is only open when I am at work

Great to have services like this, but I would recommend going later in the week as shelves are a bit bare the beginning of the week

This is a great place to keep a budget at bay. With the assistance of shopping here we can afford to have little luxuries. Great staff, Jean is a character and Gail always friendly.

Always priced as cheap as possible using their own pricing system. (It's a food bank after all).If you're under financial pressure you would be well served to join up ($2 fee) and take advantage of the wonderful service(s) provided here.
