I went in for breakfast today with a couple of friends, to try out a new local eatery, and unfortunately we weren't too impressed.I ordered a coffee, orange juice and acai bowl. The coffee tasted very burnt and bitter to the point that I couldn't finish it. The orange juice was definitely not worth the $8.80, it rated like a home brand pulpy orange juice from a carton. The acai bowl had a good flavour however, I don't think it was worth almost $21, it was also served in a coconut bowl that didn't have a flat bottom so I had to try to keep it level while eating otherwise it would spill over. I was also disappointed about the vegan and picky" comments on the menu

Love the location, interior design, size & ambience of this beautiful cafe.Think the ipad ordering system is easy & saves time (with staff always willing to help if needed).Have eaten at the cafe 3 times since they opened & grabbed takeaway coffee a few additional times. Food & coffee has been fantastic each & every time (even though it’s only their first 2 weeks in operation). We have had breakfast items - eggs benedict, pancakes - which have been delicious & yesterday we had the 72hr chicken pho for lunch & it was exquisite, both rated it 10/10!Coffee is the best each & every time.It is a bit pricey, however, given the cost of groceries & inflation generally, this is understandable & the quality of food we have had in return has been worth it.Staff service has been friendly, polite & efficient every time. The cafe has been open & serving coffee after their close time on a couple of occasions. The juice is the only element I have felt didn’t really reflect bang for buck (small serve, not fresh squeezed).Cant wait to try everything on the menu over the coming months & support this amazing business that is precisely what Secret Harbour has needed for years.Very impressed overall & highly recommend this cafe to anyone & everyone.

We had coffee and cake at the Surfing Lizard and have to comment on how great the place looked! The staff were very friendly and helpful and we didn’t have to wait to order which was nice! Prices were good and the cake was yummy! Great to finally have a lovely cafe on the beach to enjoy! Great job Surfing Lizard! Keep up the good work ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Took an hours drive down to get a quick fix of Mum’s phenomenal 72hr Chicken Pho. The food and service is everything you have come to expect at the Coogee kitchen in even better surrounds. Could perhaps do with a bit of ambient music but not essential. Well done Tam & the Team.

Rated service as a 1 due to you do the ordering on an ipad. Expecting a tip for service is a bit rich as well. Food was good, broth was different. Coffee was OK. Long black don't let it get cold. Would be OK with milk. Also order a fruit juce said was home made but didn't taste like it. Knives and folks were very 80's so was the help your self style sauce and napkins. The other thing was the price a bit expensive.

Visited mid-morning for a late breakfast on a Saturday - on a fine winter’s morning. The Cafe was very busy and after a slight delay noted the tablets to order your food/coffee etc…After a brief demonstration by staff, was able to easily order - in this case a Avo Smash with a Poached Egg and large Almond Milk Flat White…I sat outside to enjoy the sun and allow my dog to sit with me - the food was amazing - the taste combinations of the Avo Smash was simply wonderful, and the Coffee delicious, well presented and certainly large!Staff were wonderful, constantly keeping an eye to take a plate away and interact…Thank you - a superb experience and will be back - Highly Recommended.Drone Image - with Thanks - Allan Godley
