Grocer, U-Puck Greenhouse and delicious Cafe, the ultimate 3-in-1!! We had such a fun experience here, and you could literally taste how fresh everything was, totally changing the dining experience! I can’t wait to visit again and highly recommend!

Amazing concept of fresh produce delivered from greenhouse straight to the table. The food we had at cafe was unbelievable so much flavour and much nicer than many wineries and other places in Yarra Valley we tried. Croquettes and cauliflower are definitely must try. The staff were welcoming and we picked up some goodies from the grocer. They have a great selection of local produce including fruit & veg, cheeses and other deli stuff.

Love the concept of serving growing and serving seasonal produce. This menu changes constantly but on this occasion the standout dishes we tried were the lamb shoulder, beef ribs and don't miss out on the hand-cut chips. Phil took us for a tour of the garden which the kids really enjoyed. If you are looking to pick strawberries, be sure to check before visiting as they might not be in season. Service at the cafe was friendly and efficient. There's also a small grocer if you'd like to take home produce to enjoy at home. I can recommend the Japanese pumpkin. It worked a treat for pumpkin soup that weekend!

The staff are lovely, the place is clean, but the coffee isn’t all that good, and it’s tiny. The plants are in such a bad state it’s sad, and to ask $18kg for “pick your own tomatoes” are you joking? And $5 for a dying single vegetable plant is awful.I bought a loaf of sourdough bread which was still warm. It was delicious.

We visited Gateway last weekend and really enjoyed our time here. There's so much to do Upick greenhouse/grocer/cafe. My son and I loved walking around the vertical greenhouse, you can pick strawberries and herbs here.The cafe food was also super tasty. Produce are picked and cooked the same day, cannot get any fresher than that.We ordered:Flourless ricotta and lemon pancakesFried potatossBeef brisket croquettesCrispy chicken ribsGrass fed braised rib of beefFeel the beat juiceThey also sell produces from around the Yarra Valley. Highly recommend to visit.

Wonderful idea of business model. Spotless clean kitchen. Well maintained greenhouse using permaculture tactics to control insect pests. Owner is passionate about his garden and courteous to his customers. The selection of food is simple and well cooked, not sure why they have such a big professional kitchen when there is only simple food. Would love to see cold pressed raw milk and more ripened fruits sold here like Marketplace. Coffee taste is 9/10, maybe just under James cafe in North Melbourne.

For anyone interested in sustainability or farming, this is a great day-trip destination in the Yarra Valley. The food is delicious, especially the Tomato Salad and Lamb Shoulder. Definitely recommend picking some fresh produce to take home too - it will make you question ever buying your fruit and veg from the supermarket again!

I’ve always like visiting the Yarra Valley especially the wineries, but recently I visited Gateway Market greengrocer and cafe. The selling point here is the greenhouse where you can pick your own strawberries and herbs. I really liked it because there were less insects and bugs, as all strawberries and herbs are grown in the greenhouse. The cafe also served wonderful food, especially like the slow braised beef ribs and also the ricotta and lemon pancakes. Highly recommend as a pitstop if you’re visiting the Yarra Valley.

Based in Coldstream at the foothills of the Yarra Valley, Gateway is a three in one venue creating a new perspective on healthy living.The cafe's concept is farm to table so everything is grown locally and tastes incredible.Can I tell you, nothing tastes better than fresh ingredients cooked perfectly. If you are looking for a special food experience this is the place!After our meal we walked the greenhouse to take a look at all the produce being grown.We finished our morning by shopping at the local grocery built into the cafe.A complete foodie experience and must do in Yarra Valley.

This is such a special spot to visit! I loved being able to tour the greenhouse and experience the food that you're eating and buying at the grocer. It feels really nice to have local, fresh produce straight from their gardens. The kitchen is also worth a stop - love their cakes and their savoury bites. The fried chicken ribs were really juicy, and the prawns were such a delicious flavour. It's also a really great ambience being able to sit gazing upon the greenhouse.
