Viking Mechanical (approved IVECO repairer and BOSCH Car service)

I came for a oil leak, spent 1100$ for it, and left with the same oil leak.They checked my car and said the leak was coming from somewhere but they didn’t even clean the area in the first place so there were oil everywhere.I left with the same oil leak so I had to go to an other mechanic who really took the time to clean everything, and he found the source of the leak. The repairs for this involved to replace what Vicking mechanical did so I just threw 1100$ out of the window.If they would have clean the engine properly, they would have seen this other leak that required to be fixed first.I tried to have a conversation with them, so they could understand that they did something wrong, which was to not clean the engine before to make their diagnostic.This would have save me 1000$, time and energy.If you have a big job to do on your car, don’t go there, they don’t take time to really find the source of the problem and afterwards they won’t even recognise their mistake and make up excuses for it.

Awesome bunch of professionals... welcome back good old fashioned customer friendly and honest service.. attention to detail without the extraordinary price tag you would normally expect when it comes to an Audi service or repair... !!! Thumbs up guys!! Will definitely be back. Couldn't rate them high enough.. anyone requiring an Audi service and or repair i highly recommend these guys.

Even though I am a bit late I wanted to let you know that the car is driving beautifully, even better than before! More than once while enjoying driving my car I applauded Viking mechanicals in my thoughts for having done such an outstanding job.Please pass on my regards and thanks to all those who worked on the car.Inspite of all the challenges and obstacles (insurance related) they completed repair and service professionally and to the utmost BMW standard .I will definitely come back for future services and any other work that needs to be done.A special mention needs to go to Linda who went above and beyond what was expected from her and I want to thank her again for her understanding and patience even though I am not a ‘local’.

Wanted to get my fuel pump repaired but noticed that there pump room don’t exist no more and they have moved location.went around the corner. But in saying that good work in the mechanical diagnosis side thanks keep up the good work.

Update: Your diagnosis was to replace Turbo correct? If I had of taken your recommendation / quote and booked my car in with you to replace said Turbo, then that's what you would have done. Rather than discover the real cause of the problem. Like I stated below I took the car to the manufacturer and they diagnosed the issue correctly, rather than just trying to gouge the customer. By the way there were no recent issues at all with the vehicle prompting this review. I had the car serviced and repaired at the dealership at a fraction of the cost.Sent my vehicle in as it was showing an engine fault. Viking then proceeded to tell me I needed the entire Turbo changed out and quoted me $16k to get this done, just to clarify this included an aftermarket option so the job was actually around $12K. I was obviously gobsmacked since I noticed no drop in performance of the vehicle and thought this was a bit strange. I then took my car to the manufacturer dealership to diagnose the engine fault. Turns out it was actually it was a coolant hose with a pin hole leak affecting the boost sensor and creating the fault. Either these guys are incompetent or actually rip people off. Do not recommend using this service.

Absolutely hopeless. I had my admin order parts on Friday. They hadn't arrived yesterday, so I gave them a follow up call. Jake said he would get back to me. Called again today and he still couldn't tell me where the parts were. I asked if I should be looking for the parts elsewhere he said yeah". This is the latest indiscretion I've had dealing with this company. Never again."

The company was recommended and highly spoken of and out done themselves! Amazing work and great time management. Dropped my car off in the morning and was ready by midday! Quick service & quality customer service! Very grateful!! Highly recommend to anyone passing through who needs assistance.

Husband took Winnebago to get park brake fixed charged $264 , husband checked brake before leaving. Still not working. After heated discussion,yes husband frustrated as job not done...left Winnebago there so they could actually fix it. Still not fixed 3 days later.Took winnebago to another repair shop, paid $362, issue fixed in a few hours.Do not recommend this business. Now will be chasing refund by other means as business not interested in discussing.You would think they would come to the party, not a huge amount of money for them. They were given the opportunity to rectify by fixing issue.Do not recommend this business Thanks Big Wheel for your fantastic service.

We contacted Viking Mechanical in a panic via Facebook messenger on a Sunday because our car had gone into limp mode 5 days before leaving on a month long road trip. They messaged back on a Sunday and told us to come in first thing Monday and see Kirsty. We left our vehicle and Kirsty contacted me throughout the day with updates. Unfortunately our DPF had disintegrated. The mechanic was happy to take us into the workshop and show us the damaged parts and what needed to be done, to me this shows honesty, transparency and integrity.The wonderful office staff immediately started sourcing parts from anywhere in Australia. We did have a long wait for parts but that’s just the market as the parts are in demand. Kirsty kept us updated with the parts and the day the last part arrived it was fitted and the car ready to go. The itemised billing is great because you can see exactly what you are paying for and the office staff are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Viking mechanical in Mackay.
