Lovely book store but very over priced and not many options there. Can get the same book at Kmart and save at least 10 dollars.

I really wanted to rate this higher, the store is beautiful it has a great selection of books, but staff are so unprofessional, I've been reminded why I prefer to shop online and browse the library. Storytime was advertised but never started, I spent 40 mins in the store, arrived early to grab a coffee and shop, at start time I grabbed a chair in the reading corner , a simple hi , or we will get started when more people show up , even a nod to acknowledge I was there, but nothing, I waited 15 mins in the reading corner area, with a toddler that was starting to cry and no one to ask I left , I can see why no one shows or recommends this , I left the books I wanted to buy and on the way out still not a single staff member said or even glanced at me. Very disappointed.

You would think that after ordering a book that they would go and get it in asap but no I ordered it online and it came quicker than they could do ...so yeah pretty bloody ordinary if ya ask me ...

Was confronted by a woman behind the counter shoving a massive roll into her mouth as she tried to ask me what I was looking for. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable.....won't go again. If she was my employee........

All the love for The Book Orchard. Our children love visiting and how their world has opened up to the joy of reading. But most of all, it's about the experiences in store that makes all the difference. The kids feel quite at home here and we love the excitement they feel walking away with another book from the big selection. There's always new books, old books, favourites, local books and so much more. The staff are always willing to answer questions and help wherever they can. They will even source hard to find books! The generosity of this little shop in our community is enormous. They donate vouchers for local prizes and community events with no thanks expected. They recently made my child's 8th birthday super special by generously finding and giving me a poster of their role model to frame for their birthday. Just because they wanted to help. I know when I shop here, I'm supporting a local small business that genuinely cares for their customers and community and that's why I choose them everytime.
