Really enjoyed the exquisite share plates offered at this little Japanese Restaurant in Vaucluse. The serves are smallish but reasonably priced with the opportunity to taste a variety of dishes then order more of any you really like. The whitebait and eggplant were my favourite dishes but the seaweed salad and sashimi were also delicious!

This is a nice little restaurant. The kitchen appears small but they offer a wide variety of Japanese-inspired dishes. The sashimi was pretty standard, but really enjoyed their signature rolls (Mad-Mex and Dynamite).Find my video reviews here:Instagram: @upperecheloneatsTiktok: @theupperecheloneatsYouTube: @UpperEchelonEats

Don’t believe the online reviews. This restaurant serves bad food – and I mean food poisoning bad. Even the avocado in their Rolls is black and they hope you won’t check it before you leave with your order. When you call to complain, they are not the slightest bit apologetic. The staff need an attitude check – very arrogant and officious. Do yourself a favour and stay at home and have a cheese sandwich. The five star reviews are clearly fictitious.

The food here looks and tastes incredible! The service here is also very friendly! A large variety of poke bowls. I definitely recommend the Salmon Crunch!

Taste: The food was good. Excellent. Service: Not good at all. Polite enough, but just uncaring. Take away: Some of the prices on their website should be updated to avoid cashier surprise when paying. Value: Some of the items are ok e.g. starters. The meals are slightly over-priced, but nice and given the location, justified. But the 'signature' sushi rolls. $20? A little too much. Have had better for less.

Washoku is a top-notch dining experience, without breaking the bank. The salmon taco’s are to die for, as well as just about any sushi dish.Their to-go containers and mentality around their food is immaculate and truly aims to meet your every expectation.I have experienced better pre-dining/waiter service before at other restaurants, but the food makes up for this without a shadow of a doubt.Worth going out of your way to come to Washoku when visiting Sydney.

We had 3 of the various Poke bowls and they were all fresh and delicious. Large menu with heaps of choices. This is a very popular place and the food is consistently Yum.

Great Japanese place with a decent range of items as can be seen by the pictures. Great sashimi, fresh fish and extremely well cooked tempura. It is also BYOB - when combined with the local bottleo this is a great combination. The overall impression is extremely favourable with some outdoor seating areas as well as good indoor seats which are a bit darker during day time.Prices are a bit dear; but, considering the food quality, acceptable. The location is pretty central but parking can be hellish in this part of town. Be prepared...
