wow, is it just me or does the first three reviews originate from the same author? just saying....Look, I can only speak from my own personal experience, I have dealt with Tracy Dodd on several occasions and other staff who are caring for my Aunty, the Estia staff are by far the best trained and compassionate people in the nursing industry hands down, I have been to all the nursing homes in the area and we tried all of them by way of respite, and I have interacted with all the staff including cleaners and kitchen staff and they have only exceeded our expectations.My aunty,myself and other family members agreed to set out with the intentions of what we called 'try before you buy', to experience each home on a personal level to help us decide which home was best for my Aunty, as it turned out she picked Estia Tuncurry, which was no surprised to any of us, look my advice to others is look into it for yourselves,don't believe ANYONE when it comes to the wellbeing of your loved ones except your own family members and especially the one that knows what's best (my aunt).

My younger brother was placed here as a high care palliative patient in the final stages of oesophageal cancer. He was not placed in a palliative care unit, nor do I know if this facility has a palliative unit. Nor did attending staff appear to have the necessary high care training. As a consequence he did not receive the appropriate level of care and our family often witnessed him waiting several hours for pain relief medication in spite of our repeated requests. In his final months he existed in a very confused mental state, he was in denial, could not remember where the emergency button was and was very conflicted meaning he suffered enormous pain in silence while waiting for periods of prescribed medication. And even those levels were later deemed to be too low and inadequate. Awful to watch and we wonder how much worse it would have been for him if we had not been there to repeatably query and constantly chase up prescribed medication and inadequate dosage levels.This Aged Care Home should not be accepting high care palliative patients until it has the proper facilities, adequate staffing levels and appropriately trained staff.

Estia Health Tuncurry Aged Care Facility is a great facility and most importantly the care provision to their residents is the best. The management Darran, Judy and Lesley are the best staff i have came across. All very professionals and easy to talk to. Well done. From M. Fordham Port Macquarie Base Hospital.

The staff are well trained and caring. Most go above and beyond to help the residents. Tracy is a very highly trained caring RN.

Our mum now happily lives at Estia Tuncurry. She is enjoying the caring, professional staff & is thankful for her personal care which is carried out compassionately. Her room is clean & nicely located with a garden view. We cannot fault the staff who have gone above and beyond to make mum feel comfortable, loved and secure in her new surroundings. We are also appreciative of the caring way Michelle Harrison guided us through this difficult time with compassion & professionalism. Thank you for caring Estia Tuncurry. You have made a tremendous difference for our family.

My dad was here for some years. he recently passed away and we found the staff to be very compassionate and caring. They all knew him and were always looking out for him, noticed when little things changed in his demeanor. Things like that. We were very happy for him to blessed with their care.

I worked at estia for around a year and a half I worked with some very caring staff members the night shift staff you guys rock Rn Tracey Dodd is one Rn I would work with anywhere thank you guys for making my work place a great place to work thank you all managementAlways available for a chat when needed.

Both my parents live at Estia Tuncurry, they are so happy with the holistic care they receive. All of the staff are like an extended family to them both, and care for them professionally. My brothers and I have no concerns at all about our parents being at Estia Tuncurry, in fact we feel extremely lucky to have them in such a positive caring environment.

I am just letting the public know to be aware and keep an eye on their loved ones in this nursing home i do believe the one star reviews on here are true to there words as my families expierence has been devastating my daerest cousin burnt to death in the smoking area only 4weeks ago and he had many incidents before this that we are only now aware of....watch your loved ones closely.......

My Aunt resides here and I was recently informed that a nurse with initials A.M, smokes cannabis on a regular basis. I’m NOT ok with this!(full name will be disclosed to management)
