Apsley Waterhole
An amazing spot to hike and chill in a beautiful pristine water. We did the hike first, which was challenging at times, especially when you come down the rock cliff to see the river, but it was worth it. After doing the hike the fresh and clean water hole was a reward for all the sweat and blood)))) definitely would recommend visiting. Just make sure you bring mosquito repellent as you will be eaten up)))

Lovely place for a picnic and a swim, cool for the kids to explore. Easy short walk.No bins so rubbish to be taken with you

One of the most beautiful spots I’ve Been to! The watering hole it’s self is amazing and so refreshing to swim in! The surrounding area is very pretty and the walk in is very cool! Great location and can 100% recommend visiting! It’s well worth the journey that’s for sure!

What a gem!!! We stayed at Bicheno and it was too cold for the beach so we decided to come here and were blown away by the crystal clear water of this large and easily accessible swimming hole. It's a dirt road to the carpark and 5-10 minutes walk but well worth it.....

A childhood favourite, so good to see it much the same and wholly untouched by big developments. A beautiful, natural experience in the middle of Tasmania.

It is a short 10 mins walk from the car park to the water hole. The water is very clean. The edge is shadow but has steep edge into the deep pool so only suitable for someone who can swim well. There is no facility around the pool. Water temperature surprisingly is not too cold on a 28 deg days.

We headed there on a recommendation at the camp ground. It was stunning, the water was so clear albeit very cold. At one stage we had the whole place to ourselves and it was amazing.
