Molesworth Recreation Reserve Caravan and Camping Park
Nice place to spend time with family or friends. Facilities are clean and the staff is super friendly. The river is good for fishing and boats, however, it might be too dangerous for kids. The park is also pet friendly so it's great you can come alone with your furry friends.

Molesworth Recreation Reserve Caravan and Camping Park
Very disappointed - we have travelled 500,000 km around aus & this is the first time we have ever left a caravan park at midnight due to excessive noise levels.- a lesser issue - there was a loud disco party blasting out across the oval - this seemed to be close to the office so I assume the caretakers were aware of this. If the party was on private property outside of the reserve I realise there was not a lot that could be done to reduce the noise - but even so, the noise level was excessive & not a good look for the town or Rec Grounds.- the main issue is close to our camp there was continuous outside campfire conversation between 2 or 3 people that only got louder as midnight approached. 10.00 pm noise rules are not monitored. Will not return as the inconsiderate offending residents / visitors / locals do not understand that travelling visitors need more than a few hours sleep.I realise some of this may not be under Rec Grounds jurisdiction.- the mens showers are an accident waiting to happen as the drainage area runoff angle makes it really difficult to remain balanced - the mat provided helps but is not a solution - on a positive note the showers were hot & the toilets clean.Moved to the rail trail carpark so managed half a nights sleep.PS - this is the one & only negative review I have ever posted so I hope the Rec Ground Committee may put my observations to some good use.

Nice place for a stay. Good value for money. Clean showers and toilets. Caretakers are hard workers. Added bonus of camp fires allowed and fire drums supplied!

Molesworth Recreation Reserve Caravan and Camping Park
Nice place to rest up. Staff were great and easy going in allowing us to select our site. None of being dumped on top of other campers like in the bigger more commercial parks. Outlook on the river is pleasant, but it would be good if the council spent a few dollars and upgraded river access to free up the boat ramp. Will be back as these little uncomplicated gems are hard to find.

It was so nice to arrive to the campground, Steve and Emily were so welcoming all the time, they are doing a good job there. The camping is quiet, green, full of big trees and the river next to it.Good facilities also. We stayed for a month and looking forward to come back!

My first stay here and will definitely come again. Really friendly and safe feeling community. Great communal kitchen and BBQ area. Toilet and shower facilities are well maintained. There is a small, calm area of the river for kids to swim at the boat ramp. Not many powered sites available currently (hopefully that will change) so bring your solar stuff lol

Stayed 4 nights early March 2022 to do the Great Victorian Rail Trail. Ideal location - midway on the trail. What is especially useful for cyclists is the steel rail around the recreation reserve (which is a large footy field). So you have a campsite and a strong steel rail next to your tent where you can lock your bike securely. Although it's unlikely that anything would go missing, as the camp ground is secure, private, and quiet. Stevo and Emily do an excellent job managing and maintaining the reserve. The showers and toilets are always clean. The community room has an AC powerpoint you can use to recharge a battery power pack during the day. Other than the caravan park / recreation reserve, there's not much in Molesworth. Yea is the closest town where you can reprovision at Foodworks. Great star visibility on a clear night.

Has 2 powered sites for caravans. Rest of large area is unpowered for camping around the oval. Has all the basic facilities along with a laundry, camp kitchen and they sell coffee soft drinks and icy poles from their 'shop'. Staff pleasant and helpful. Toilet and shower block is more like a public toilet facility which it probably was originally.

What a tranquil location leading to the high country. Don't spread the word too far as the park may be overrun with campers. The weather was hot over the Australia Day weekend but the stay was pleasant and the facilities were clean. Take my hat off to the management for doing the best they could with the power issues and limited lighting in the facilities.

Nice river access at boat ramp. The caravan park is based around a local oval. Nice grass areas. The grounds were very tidy and clean. The facilities are old but ok.
