Took recycling to the dump, mainly to drop off glass bottles and aluminium cans, and was told I needed to pay $29 to recycle" a small amount of cardboard

Terrific recycling facility..Staff are awesome and very informative, friendly and helpful.Recycling numerous products saving the need for landfill.Pricing is surprisingly cheap compared to other local facilities.A resale shop selling used goods at bargain basement prices, staff at resale shop are so helpful.

I didn't think I'd be reviewing a tip, but every time I go there it's a positive experience. All the staff are friendly and the layout is thoughtful and doesn't feel lazy like a lot of other setups. Will always go out of my way to go here. Thanks guys

Update - 12/08/2022, staff posted out the front gate before the listed closing time to turn cars away so they can finish early on a Friday. Extremely poor serviceUpdate - 1/02/2023, they've decided to up the cost of tip fees by 90%. Extremely unaffordable as a trade. I won't be back and discourage anyone from coming here

Needed to dispose a mattress which had been on the nature strip waiting for a pick up for three weeks due to a system which was not working as directed and being told it would be another four weeks. We had a friend drive from Geelong with a trailer. We checked the fee and operating time of the Resource Centre for Sunday and took the mattress there. We were met by a very friendly and helpful staff member. We followed their directions, deposited the mattress. All too easy. My friend was much relieved that the mattress was gone. Thank you Darebin Resourcr Centre.

I was a regular customer for many years. Now they charge three times more. Every council tip I went to is usually flexible in what a cubic meter is. Especially with green waste, knowing a gardener can't charge their customers that much. Now they measure it with a tape measure. Bolinda road in Campbellfield or Moonee Valley transfer station is now the go to. Much, much more affordable.

Darebin Resource Recovery Centre
Constant noise at all hours of the day from this facility permeate my home and greatly reduce my life satisfaction. Sometimes it sounds like a machine hammering giant poles into the ground and at other times it sounds like two planets grinding together. Considering how close this is to residential areas I am absolutely appalled at the amount of noise and some of the times I am subjected to it.
