Acacia Education & Training RTO No. 91469

I completed my RCG course with Acacia Education and Training. While the teacher was friendly and made course as interesting as possible, the rest of my experience with the company has been terrible.Each time I have ever done my RSA or rcg with other companies in the past, my interim certificate has been made available immediately after completing the course. This time, it took a whole week of calls and emails to finally get my interim certificate. Every single time I called, I was told they would be sent out that afternoon or at the worst, the following day. I actually had a staff member smirk at me one time I called, I'm clearly known within the office because I haven't stopped calling them for what I paid for.I appreciate that the teacher needed to return the paperwork the day of the course, so perhaps the interim certificate would come through the day after, but a whole week is unacceptable. I was unable to work for Melbourne cup as a result (I completed the course on the first available day after arriving back in Australia and knew from previous experience that I should have the certificate within 24 hours), and was only given my certificate after asking to speak with management. In the email I received with my cert attached, I was told I had been emailed it already, which is absolutely not correct - all email folders including junk/spam were obviously checked regularly; I wouldn't be constantly harassing the office if I had received it.I wouldn't recommend Acacia to anyone - go somewhere else that will actually provide you with your certification in a timely manner so that you can begin work (assuming that's what you're studying for) and deal with a team that will actually treat you with respect and not lie to you.I do want to mention that I had a manager (I assume?) Call me after I left this review to apologise for my experience and was very understanding, which I think was a very nice and professional thing to do.

I have completed the Individual Support Certificate III with Acacia. I would like to post a special thank you to our Trainer/Teacher/Registered Nurse Tanisha M for her commitment and dedication to our class. She is always there to explain and provide support when we have any problems. With her rich industry experience, I can assure anyone of a successful learning journey.The Acacia online system is very well thought out and extremely functional. It was such a breeze to complete the assignments online. The online system became second nature in no time! They have partnered with CASS (Individual Support Service Provider) for work placement opportunities. A Number of my colleagues were offered a job right after their work placement!Well done Acacia and Tanisha! Thank you for your support and opened up a new window of opportunities for our class! I have never felt so cared for by a teacher.I have been a student with Acacia for just under a year, though the sheer amount of patience and methodical feedback I have received from my trainer has made a massive impact. I am usually quite unmotivated when it comes to studying, since being with Acacia I have never been so excited and I always look forward to my study sessions.Thank you Acacia for bringing joy back to my education :)

I enrolled with Acacia to complete my Cert IV in Leadership and Management and so far have had a great experience. The trainer we were assigned is extremely supportive and so great at always explaining the 'why' to ensure I fully understand the topic at hand. I highly recommend Acacia Education & Training.

I'm currently completing my Cert IV in Leadership and Management with Acacia and am so glad I went with this company!The support and guidance provided by my Student Advisor Nichollette is second to none which is absolutely amazing as she does this all remotely. Any issues that arise are immediately rectified or proactively investigated.As someone who also works in the Staff Training sector of an organisation, Acacia Education will always be my first go to for all future Trainees.

Farhana Memon was an excellent trainer. She was very thorough,easy to understand and very friendly.The course was very interesting but I had to apply myself to a high level to complete it.I hope that I can use the skills that I have learnt to further my career.

Acacia College gaves students many tools to succeed and some people don’t even realize it.I Iearnt a lot from this vocational training school. I’ve completed six months’ CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (ageing, disability) course from CASS and ACACIA Education and Training and English course from NAVITAS. I would like to make feedback when I have still fresh memory. It was nice to get kind guidance for the course when I made a phone call to CASS for the first time, and I was encouraged to study by Georgette who asked the reason why I wanted to take the course. My usual thought as a retiree was that I would want to do something valuable, worthwhile and rewarding when I am in good health and being able to work.Course trainer Tanisha's English pronunciation and tone were stable and pleasant to listen to and she taught us with sound knowledge from long time age care and disability supporting experience, so I was comfortable that I could study well from the beginning of the first class.I was able to talk with confidence in the class atmosphere that their listening to the opinions and stories of students who were not good at English.I was surprised at the patience of the other students who exchanged opinions to help each other and waited patiently until the end even though some with the poor broken English they spoke slowly.The teacher also had a good teaching method that she would listen actively to the questions in slow broken English and would encourage to the questioner to give them value to their questions. She was a patient trainer who answered the same question over and over again.At the end of each unit, she did not forget to give us guidelines and instructions in detail and allowed us to contact her at any time if there were any difficulties in studying or things that we did not understand well. Little things like this gave me confidence that I could complete this study well, I would say it again.If she teaches Certificate IV level of same course name, I would like to be her student once more.I had an unforgettable class that was “CERTI III in INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT, English and Employment Skill”. Teacher Julie taught us resume writing skill, communication skill in workplace, interview skill etc. She was kind, inclusive, approachable and warm heart teacher. I felt she was trying to teach us everything what she knows to let us have confidence in speaking with right pronunciation and grammar. It was lovely to have mock interview and feedback from her to adjust my interview skill.
