My hard drive broke which had years worth of photos on it, and they were able recover and transfer all my data across to a new hard drive within days. Ernie and the team are brilliant. Highly recommend.

Fast, expert, professional and reasonably priced.We lost two external disks due to plugging in wrong voltage power supply. The other Sydney disk recovery companies we contacted quoted an expensive recovery process, often wanting to go straight to clean room recovery. Ernie was prepared to work on the controller boards rather than opening the disk up, so was able to recover the data at a fraction of the price.The two drives were different makes and had slightly different issues but Ernie had had experience with both and managed to get 100% data discovery.We later discovered some of the folder icons had not been recovered in a format that Mac OSX could understand (using mac resource forks) so Ernie cheerfully repeated the whole process and worked hard to get the files back in the right format at no charge.I found Ernie to be cheerful, honest, an expert, and professional. I'll certainly use him if i ever have another hard drive problem (fingers crossed i won't need to...)

The team at Data Detect were extremely helpful. My Hard Drive corrupted with some university work that I hadn't backed up. The team was happy to look at the HDD for me and spend some time trying to recover the data for me promptly. Been a long time customer of Data Detect after previous successful data recovery for PC hard disks. This time around I was unable to access my iPhone and sought Data Detect’s help as Apple genius could not do anything except attempt to reinstall the iOS on the iPhone but I would risk losing all my videos and photos as I had no backup. The team at Data Detect prioritised my phone’s data recovery and I was able to get back my phone accessible again within 5 days and also have my data backed up. The service from Data Detect was excellent. I'd done a bit of shopping around and not only were their prices the best, but the whole process was excellent. I was kept well informed of what to expect... no hard promises were made. Within a couple days, I was picking up my recovered data. On that note, Data Detect had even recovered files I'd forgotten to tell them that I may need. This clearly shows their experience and expertise in knowing what data Microsoft normally stores which might be useful in restoring to a new computer. Simply superb and comes highly recommended!

My external hard drive crashed last year and I stood to lose all my photos, music and personal documents.
