Telstra Bathurst

Went in to upgrade only 3 people in the store old mate greeted me told him what I wanted it was there instore but they were to busy to sell the samsung s3 ultra to me and I could have an appointment next week

This store (and Telstra in general) is horrible! First of all It’s ridiculously hard to book an appointment with them. You’ve got to book months in advance like it’s some fancy restaurant in Paris! Why you need to book an appointment for EVERYTHING is ridiculous as well. I needed to go in to simply change banking details and they refused to see me because I couldn’t get an appointment. The store has a plethora of issues and all them linked to fact that this is Bathurst. We’re a rural city with simple telecommunication needs and this place treats us less for it despite the store being run by locals themselves. Pull your finger out!

Every time I’ve had to deal with this store I’ve felt like I’m going insane. They’re so SO slow. You’ll wait 30-40 mins for them to book you an apt to see someone, and when you go back for you’re appointment you’re looking at waiting another 30-40 mins cos they’re always running late. Add that onto the hour they seem to take to get anything done; and you MAY leave with what you came for.

I can only judge this place by the obnoxious person (with nose ring) who has a lousy attitude and whose job appears to be to tell customers to go away and use the app. That was the advice she gave the person in front of me. His response was to ask if he could cancel his service via the app, and she said he could! It was then my turn for her treatment. I explained difficulties with my NBN speeds and she had zero interest in helping me. All she told me to do was use the app or call a 13 number. Getting nowhere, I asked to speak to a manager. She refused to entertain that idea or give me their contact info. I asked her how to complain and she told me to call the 13 number and say “complaints”. I guess she gets that question a lot! I told her I would be looking for another provider. She told me to go to Optus or TPG. She has no concept of customer service and behaves more like a bouncer than a greeter. In the space of less than five minutes she lost Telstra two customers. Whoever is managing this place needs to sort this out.

The service provided by Harry on both occasions I have been to the store is excellent. Knowledgeable, kind and with a definite customer service sensibility and sense of integrity. He personally gets my five stars.

Bunch of pillocks and no help. Refused to help me without an appointment despite having staff free, and then would only book me in at a time which made me have to leave work 2 hours early - got there on time and then sat for nearly an hour waiting to be served.Recommend travelling all the way to Rouse Hill - they are good down there. Booked an appointment after being screwed around in Bathurst, then they served me before the appointment was set, and they had me in and out in minutes.

The service in store is atrocious. Calling their customer service phone number is pointless (you won’t get someone you’ll understand). To anyone having Telstra issues MESSAGE THEIR TWITTER TEAM. They helped us 100% in a matter of 10-15 minutes and also escalated our issue to their complaint manager.So basically, Telstra store and customer support via phone: ZERO STARSTelstra Twitter support: 5 STARS.

Walked Telstra Bathurst around 2pm yesterday 12/05/23 to see about some earbuds. 3 staff members working, 2 with customers 1 doing nothing. The guy doing nothing came up to me ask asked if I needed help, told him why I was there and he told that I needed to make an appointment to purchase the earbuds. Probably would've taken 2 minutes.
