Quick Road Reserve

I like this reserve as it has no play equipment, yet my young grandsons find plenty to do exploring it. It is filled with trees and lawn. There is one picnic table. It is only fenced with a single chain so is not suitable for dogs needing to be kept in. One side is lined with old pine trees, making a quiet, soft place to explore and find branches and pine cones, thus the name for us- The Pinecone Park.A couple of huge branches have been left to climb and sit on as benches don’t seem to last due to vandalism I suppose. A few copses of trees had been added in the last decade and a tradition is to visit the 2 memorial posts.The council are doing its best to retain the lawns with mowing and watering. There are some nice spots for a picnic blanket and taking off shoes.

Very friendly dogs welcomed

Lovely green grassy area broken up only by cement pathways and trees that are usually filled with birds. It's a nice place to have a picnic or walk around, or take your dog for a walk or play (the area is big enough to throw a ball for both animals and humans (for cricket or footy etc)). There are many different birds living in the reserve, including a family of swifts that will fly around you as you disturb the insects in the grass, and a flock of galahs as well as rosellas and lorekeets that wake up noisily in the mornings and fly in to eat (at the right time of year) and roost each evening (there's always something to watch and listen to no matter the time of day though). There is no play equipment for kids, but there is a table and fallen log to sit and eat. Over all a lovely reserve!

A good basic big park, no play grounds, toilets or covered picnic tables.Just plenty of room all of it grass and lots of shade with plenty of mature trees. There is a table and tap.Hard surface paths cross the park. Not securely fenced.
