The Orangerie
The Orangerie offers excellent service and near faultless food in a picturesque if not slightly remote setting, perfect for a weekend getaway in the area. The heirloom tomato burrata salad ($21) was a fantastic and light way to start our meal. The tomatoes were fresh and tender, while the burrata mozzarella oozed with creaminess and flavour. The pot au feu chicken ($33) was perfect - the meat was succulent, the skin was crispy and the baby vegetables, having soaked up the natural juices of the chicken, were unbelievably tasty. I mopped this plate clean. I'd happily come back for this dish. Fantastic. Sadly, the dessert was disappointing - I had the baked lemon tart ($17), the pastry of which was undercooked and therefore tasted a bit floury. This was a real shame, as the meal had been great. The staff were very professional, which befits this very 'proper' restaurant. Yet thankfully they were still very warm and happy to oblige. This was a great lunch. I'd recommend anyone in the area to give The Orangerie a go.

Very impressed with the dinner here. The food quality and flavours was amazing. The ambiance and service was very good.
