Enjoying my stay at Geeveston CMCA. Custodians are helpful and knowledgeable of the area and always willing to make our stay memorable. Worth staying and. I even saw a platypus!

This could be an excellent site if the caretaker wasn't rude. I pulled up, got out, saw a notice on the table in front of the van saying caretaker not in, so I drove in and attempted to find a spot. Next thing the caretaker runs after me, doesn't bother to respond to my greeting, just yells you didn't stop!". I replied that I did

Not allowed to stay despite having black water tank, grey water tank, shower and a toilet and QLD plates... You must also have a valve otherwise you won't be able to stay. Maybe there are different rules for tasmanians as currently there are many older vans with no toilet and a teardrop style caravan staying there that hasn't got any of these features...

A very spacious park, with dump point and potable water taps, and a roomy shelter with free bbq and night lighting. The friendly caretakers went out of their way to help people and make them feel welcome. We liked the daily happy hour where guests got together to talk about things to see around Tassie. Closer to town than the over-packed RSL campground on the other side of town. More likely to see platypus here in the nearby creek/river.

Lovely piece of open grass by the river and platypus walk. Next to dog park, children's playground and public toilets.
