The Star Residences

It was very nice however the lifts were horrible, half the time they were fine and came in like 1-2 mins but the other half there was a 10 minute wait for one and then when it finally came it was full and you had to wait again. Considering there is 53 floors, there needs to be more than 4 lifts (one of them was even broken on the last day of my stay)

Stayed here for 5 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The location is really good if you don't have kids. It's close to shopping, public transport and lots of food options.Pity only one pool in the tower was available. There were lots of negative reviews about long lifts wait times. The longest we waited during our 5 night stay was 3 minutes. The place is basically new, had a luxurious feel to it.

Lift service was horrendous. My father waited for 40 minutes for a lift, some people were waiting up to an hour. Other than that everything else was great. Rooms were nice, big and clean. Great views.

Spec build finishes in the bathroom with the shower rail falling apart. The place has one x luggage trolley so it's a multiple trip affair getting your gear out during check out. Lift allocation is not adequate for peak times resulting in three to four attempts to get into a lift. Double bed only in the rooms so if you're jacked up you better have a midget misso else your in for a rough night's sleep. Staff are super friendly and the location is obviously mint. There are no non stick cooking pans and the utensils look like come from the dollar shop. Has a nice 3 1/2 star new build feel. All in all its better than a poke in the tradesman's entrance with a sharp stick for goldy accom.

I have no idea how this building got through code etc with only 4 lifts. 1 of which is regularly locked for use by the service staff (If only you could build a service elevator into a new building these days). Regularly waiting 20-30 mins for a lift and then stopping at every single floor on the way down as there are simply too many people in the building for the capability of the lifts. It is a complete disaster of a place and even though Star put a warning suggesting you avoid using the lifts between 10-12 and 2-4, it’s hideous outside of those hours most of the time too. Can’t see how this could be resolved without levelling the building and starting again. AVOID at all costs…much nicer places nearby in Broadbeach that don’t have anywhere near this problem. Only positive is a great view from the apartment (Which in itself is quite nice, if not pretty moderately stocked in terms of kitchens utensils, pans etc) and a nice pool on level 6 (if you are prepared to get up at 5am to go put a towel down on a lounger before everyone else does).

One bedroom apartment was very spacious. Location was easy to find and a bonus is that its connected to the casino. Only a few minutes walk to the restaurants, pacific fair and the tram.Staff are very friendly and helpful. Facilities are exceptional and the views are spectacular from the balcony and the grand pool. Will definitely be back again.

Ok so first don’t waste your money, stay in the hotel! The beds were hard as rocks! They booked 5 people for 2 beds. No pullouts no extra linens. The front desk finally sent a cot up. After a five minute discussion that I was not paying a penny more. At the crack of dawn I was woken up by a light piercing through (see window blinds master bedroom)The only love for this room was the view and washer dryer. For the price I paid I could have just gotten my clothes dry cleaned.Never again

Had a lovely stay, rooms were great, service was always friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient between the beaches and restaurants at Broadbeach and Pacific Fair, everything was within easy walking distance. Lifts were very busy and slow at peak times such as dinner and check out times so leave a little earlier to beat the rush.

Love love love staying here! Wonderful customer service, amazing amenities, beautiful rooms, perfect location, parking is decent, $20 a night… our absolute favorite spot whenever we visit GC. We always get a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom ocean view room and the views from level 53 are breathtaking.
