Taylor's Hardware

My wife went to Taylor's today to purchase Velcro sheet. When she went to the counter she commented on the price of the sheet. There had been a considerable price rise since the last time purchased. Actually up by $9. The response from the sales person was uncalled for. Very abrupt and his comments that bread and milk go up all the time. We will not go back to this store and we also not recommend this business to anyone.

0 stars. The worst service possible. This old man behind the counter acted like he didn't even want to be there. Can't do a simple task and help out a customer, sounded like he was shocked when he was called to do work outside the comfort of the counter.Won't be coming back to this establishment at all.

Good service quick, informative staff, great product range

I have been a customer of Taylors for over 20 years and I recently had problems with a Butane burner that I purchased there. I was advised to bring it in and, when I did so one of the sales people agreed with me that it did not seem to be working correctly. I told him that I too believed the item to be defective and asked him if I could swap it for another of the same item. I was told that he had to consult 'Management he then came back and told me that "They" believed the item was working correctly and would not swap it....this is after he agreed with me that it didn't seem to be working properly! So

I was on the hunt for specific types of wood to repair the local schools cubby house.The gentleman who served me was so helpful.He cut the board to size for me. This has made doing the repair much easier. Thankyou .

Helpful staff, good range of the items I am interested, but can be limited in some areas. Quite sure they would be able to order in items if needed.

Very helpful knowledgable and friendly staff. Generally cheaper than Bunnings and Mitre10. Exstensive range of plywood.

I have shopped at this store numerous times and each time the service gets worse. The last time I was there I was completely ignored by the two gentleman behind the counter. It wasn’t until one of the male customers asked me if I had been served and then told the staff member that I was there waiting before him that the staff member served me. I was waiting whilst they served 4 other men that walked in after me. I knew exactly what I needed and why I needed it and also where it was kept in the store. The salesman said that they didn’t carry what I needed. I proceeded to tell him where he could find it and I could take him to it if he wanted me to. He said he would be back and left the counter.I waited. The other salesman then went on to serve 4 other people. Another male customer came into the store and asked me if I was served and before I could say anything the salesman told him I had been served and asked what he needed.After that the salesman that had originally been serving me returned with another customer whom he proceeded to finalise an order he had placed.I waited and when he had finished serving that customer he again walked off ignoring me completely.As the other salesman was about to serve yet another male customer I interrupted and excused myself and said I had been waiting for more than half an hour and if I wasn’t going to be served immediately I would leave. The salesman said he had thought the other salesman had sorted me out before he left for his lunch break.Honestly I had never been treated so badly by 2 salesmen than these two.I will never step a foot back in Taylors Hardware as long as I live. I am certain that because I am a woman and knew what I was talking about that I was treated this way. When someone asked for my opinion as to where to go for hardware I will tell them.GO ANYWHERE BUT DON’T GO TO TAYLORS.Taylors Harware SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!Oh and don’t bother asking which 2 Salesmen it was because it is the same two rude men that are always there and you know it Adam Taylor!

I own and operate a small business, time is money - I don't have time to step out of the workshop to source materials. I have been using the services of Taylor's Hardware to source and cut my materials. They always attend to my orders promptly, the required materials are cut to exact measurements and the quality of the materials has been first grade. They have also been very helpful with information on adhesives to suit my application. I highly recommend Taylor's Hardware.
