In a few words I’m glad I do not need to come back here. I got assessed for a mental illness I do not even have and they didn’t even bother to help me with my eating disorder. Thanks for more anxiety.

I myself am a youth that experiences things that require mental health help.I’d like to say that the reception people are quite friendly on the phone, and in person. Some of the psychiatrists, doctors and psychologists are friendly, too. But, however, for the calls, the music is too loud. Much too loud, in fact. It is so loud it distorts the audio. I have to hold to phone away in order to not harm my ears.A few psychiatrists there are irresponsible, as well, especially one there that I am unfortunately stuck with until I am referred to Headspace. She is friendly, I’ll give her that, but I need medication right now and, after asking for it 3 times and once in person, am yet to receive a phone call indicating it is ready. My mother and I find this irresponsible. She also takes a lot of days off, and that brings my anxiety and depression quite high.Due to respecting her job and identity, I will not be mentioning who this lady is.2/5 Stars. Origen can help. They’re a wonderful service. But come on. You’re supposed to help people.

FIRSTLY DOES ORYGEN REALIZE I SCORE A ZERO OUT OF TEN!!! In order to post a review opinion I need to score at least 1 out of 10.Orygen at sunshine are shocking, !!!Emma with glasses (part time)in particular, a very inexperienced mental health social worker making irrelevant claims that it's not my child with the issues . Making false allegations to child protection services. Dismissed without consideration by child protections, they list their guinea pig client in return with regret.due to her vagueness of outdated information not relevant to the current situation and they call that a duty of care. I consider a duty of care being able to function and liaise with the client not taking advantage of any intellectual incapacity of the client and not relying on this client to provide accurate information . THEY JUST DONT SUPPORT FAMILIES.In turn the effect of providing misleading information to other health authorities including the GP. Demanding my reasons of ceasing and discharging with Orygen sunshine in turn. Terrible. They just sit there like headless chooks and don't acknowledge the significance of strategies and support in turn attempt to make things worse than they begun with. Very stupid dumb founded staff. Very outdated with their annual compulsory competencies. Slack. Unsafe. Disruptive. Orygen staff get a life!!!!!! And stop destroying others lives as they put their full faith and dependence of the service. KEEP AWAY . THIS SERVICE IS DANGEROUS AND POTENTIALLY CAN BRING U RIGHT DOWN FURTHER with the plans of uncalled for in patient admissions that could potentially affect some one for the rest of their lives. They are negligent inn every way and only feed of innocent clients as they treat these clients like guinea pigs and case studies , as reported by others . It's unfortunate karma exists . It's totally out of our hands as responsible parents and with severe concerns of neglect on the clients and their families. Dr with glasses also sits there and misinforms family leading to ambiguous and conspiracy situations. Dr Chang isn't it time you thought thoroughly before you choose to write up a discharge summary. I've heard this service has faced the mental health commissioner complains department many times and to some degree continues to function with their skeleton services. Very creepy. It deserves not even one cent from the public. A bit concerned why it is funded. Possibly due to the dr Chang adding a number of new diagnosis on fact a string of diagnosis in one short half hr visit. Little does this negligent dr know that the GP acknowledges all documented, in this case Emma reinforcing the number of visit/s before diagnosis . No wonder they want to keep this between the teenager and staff. Little do they know that I've come across a very upset mother who claims Orygen assists in transgender behind closed doors leading to hormone medication that in turn caused her son to be homeless , in sex job on the street . DISGRACEFUL !!!!!!!!!! Why doesn't Emma and Chang go transgender as guinea pigs instead as a good example. By all means they are out of scope to practice such expertise.Discusting SERVICE. Unprofessional and very long delays in providing support over a number of weeks later still looking headless and unknowledgable.. Headspace is linked a service that is made to do your head in , play around with your mind and then let you sit there with a cup full of jelly beans for dinner, as a cheer up for failing to meet appointment times with their clients. Ditching clients on arrival. This service generally entails a bunch of weirdo idiots - never go public again .

I'd give it a zero if I could. My daughter has anxiety issues from lockdown, trauma from high school (she finished in 2021), struggles to leave the house due to fears and anxiety and the only advice they told me was to get her NDIS. Don't you need a psychologist to do a report for it? How does a student go to a private clinic? They aren't taking new patients, even if she had money. She can't work due to mental health issues. So does she spend the rest of her life living in her room? One place they suggested only take under 16's.
