Best pie we’ve had! First visit to Bulahdelah and ordered cheese bacon steak and steak mushroom - was unexpectedly good. With a salad and coffee altogether less than $30 too. If visiting Bulahdelah definitely worth a visit.

The food is well worth it here. We had the big country breakfast and it did not disappoint. The food was cooked well, not the best coffee bean but still a nice drink.If you need a big breakfast to start the day I would recommend coming here.

Best beef pie I've ever bought. Very generous size, loaded with chunked tender beef and included tomato sauce. Expensive at $9 but worth it. They are made there each day.

There's not a lot of food options between Port Macquarie and Newcastle. But if you take a few minutes out of your trip and stop in Bulahdelah and find the Detours Cafe you will not be disappointed.They will happily make you the freshest, most filling sandwich ever! If you prefer something hot then try the lamb shank pie. The best Cafe pie I have ever had.They also make a very good coffee.Remember the name - Detours Cafe Bulahdelah. So much better than service station food on the freeway.

Absolutely beautiful fresh sandwiches, heaps of fillings and delicious. Like massive doorstops! Friendly staff and great service. Always stop there for the amazing fresh sandwiches on the way home.

I had the lamb shank pie, small chips and chai latte, all exceptionally good.I read the reviews, of this place don't know what s wrong with some people this local Cafe was amazing. Highly Recommened!

Absolute gem with the best pies I’ve ever had - a must stop when driving the pacific highway. We had the tomato, onion and steak pie and the steak and gravy pie and both were epic.

We were looking for breakfast along the M1. Went off the highway at Bulahdelah and found the Detour Cafe. What a gem. Food was beautifully presented and tasted great. Chef and staff were very friendly. Will definitely drop in on return journey.
