Animal Ark Snake Avoidance Training for Dogs

So thankful that this is available for dogs. We have a Malamute x Labrador and boy is her prey drive strong. This is her second time going (her first refresher) and she clearly needed it, still showing too much interest in the snakes instead of avoiding completely. I suspect she will have to have more refreshers but I'd rather that than the alternative. Thank you so much for everything you guys do.

We had great experience this morning with Sinai and Shannon at snake avoidance training with our 2 dogs this morning. They provided clear and informative explanations of the training process, snake behaviors and ways to mitigate/respond to incidents involving snakes. Sinai has a very good understanding of dog behaviour and tailored the session to get the best results for each dog (one is timid, one is dominant). I had been nervous about how our dogs would respond but could not be happier with the outcome. My dogs learned very quickly to avoid the snakes. We will be back for refresher next year!

Great course. I feel a little safer about my dog being at the park now. It really works and she has done a refresher recently. She hadn’t forgotten much at all and was still very wary of snakes. Thank you!

I took my Labrabor to a Refresher Course yesterdayI would like to acknowledge and thank Sinai for her skills, consideration for my dog and her thorough understanding and care, ensuring he was well aware of the snake and responded approximately before ending the session.I came away feeling confident that my dog would retreat in seeing a snake in the future.Of course I’ll be careful of his whereabouts but I do feel more confident now than beforeThank you Sinai, David and Jenny for providing such a valuable serviceHighly recommend

Very professional outfit and highly effective training.After only minimal intervention my super inquisitive dog was convinced that leaving snakes alone was a really good idea.We will definitely come along to a refresher next year.

Not only did I conquer my fear of snakes, but I had a fantastic experience on the Snake Handling course. Kurt and Sinai were amazing and the best trainers. They delivered the course with a lot of knowledge and made the whole experience entertaining and enjoyable. Had such a great time and I highly recommend this course to everyone. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks Kurt and Sinai I had an absolute blast!

Had a very average experience this morning at the North Beach training location. The instructor pressured my partner to begin the training session 15 minutes prior to our start time, and provided very little information as to how the session would proceed. I arrived 10 minutes early to see that they were half way through the course and had to join with no clue what was happening at all. We were provided with a very brief overview of snake bite symptoms and then rushed for another walk past an additional two snakes. Our dog responded well to the training (I think?..) but I did not leave the course with much confidence in the process at all, due to the complete lack of explanations during the training.All up the course would have lasted just over ten minutes as we were finished prior to our originally booked start time. To be charging $220 ($1,320 per hour!!) for this session is complete robbery. I honestly would have still felt disappointed if we paid $50 for the session.At the end of the day, hopefully the training works for our dog but I certainly would not recommend using this company. We’ll be going elsewhere for our refresher training.

Jenny and Dave are absolutely awesome, a complete wealth of knowledge and information. The course with my dog was brilliant and incredibly necessary as she loves sniffing around the bushes. Jenny and David explain the whole process very well, and I now feel a walk to the beach or camping in the bush will be far safer for my dog. Thank you!

Great results from professional people 4 years in, our dog still keeps away from the smell of the snakes.
