EK Dental Surgery: Dentist in Glen Waverley

Dr. Mary Li is very professional, caring and friendly. I am happy with all the dental care she has given me and my kids throughout the years. I highly recommend Dr. Mary Li at EK Dental.The receptionist is helpful and courteous.

Today is a very unpleasant experience for me and my daughter. I took my daughter to this dental clinic for a dental examination. Since my daughter had pigmentation on her teeth, the doctor suggested to wash her teeth. I agreed because my daughter had previously had dental cleaning in another dental clinic. It was very gentle. It does not hurt at all. However, this is a wrong decision! The doctor was very rude and tried very hard to clean a 6-year-old child’s teeth.My daughter cried on the spot and I later found that her gums were hurt and bleeding. I would never go to this clinic again! so terrible!

They are fine with general cleaning, checkup and general treatment. All staff are nice and helpful. However I wouldn’t recommend orthodontic treatment with them. In my own experience I wasn’t happy about my results. I understood it would take time to move teeth around as an adult, but I never expected that I had to have 4 teeth filled and reshaped by filling material after pulling out 1 tooth. Filling material didn’t last long, feeling material on 2 teeth fell off only after around 6 months, had to pay to get it fixed over 2 appointments. After I changed my dentist, in my checkup I’ve been told my teeth are covered by glue that’s not cleaned properly. I’ve spent fare money with them but I don’t feel I’ve received happy results.

Our family have already attended the EK dental surgery with Dr. Lydia for a couple of years. Dr. Lydia is our best choice after compared with other dentists, especially on children's dental care. She is very patient and very professional on children's noncooperation. She explained the treatment clearly and given us good advice. She is always gentle when checked teeth. She used a lot of strategies to help my son for relaxing and be comfortable while filling a tooth. My son was very resistant to see dentist because he had a bad experience in another clinics before, but Dr. Lydia was very patient and given my son a lot encouragement. I highly recommended Dr. Lydia

I checked on google free orthodontic consultation that come up EK dental surgery. then i rang them to make appointment, they give me the time for just next day. I went there , filled form up then the dentist (owner) call me in, only 5 min , just looked and pulled my lips nearly torn. after had a quick chat i went outside, the women in the reception call me back to PAY for appointment $62, then i said but it for free i show them in my phone the google search but they said they do not care about that, their policy that is not free (DO YOU BELIEVE??) i said why that is not free but on google shown like that. i said to her talk to the owner (that old dentist men) he told her if i do not pay now then send the statement to my house, they want money only. that was nightmare, in Australia also have these people, they should go back to CHINA. Every body can search on google free orthodontic in glen waverley " you will see i say true or not.NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE I WARNING YOU"

Be careful! The service used to be good. Now it leaves a lot to be desired. More interest in removing teeth than in helping patients keep their teeth. Quite uncaring and mocking in behaviour. Never going back! If I could I would give a no star rating for no confidence.

I am a regular patient in this clinic and every time I go there I am always greeted with a big smile on the receptionist's face. She is a wonderful, caring and extremely understanding person, as this is shown when once one of my kids had a unbearable toothache (emergency) and even though there was a very tight scheduled, the receptionist still managed to slot my child in during their lunch time. I am very grateful and very much appreciate all the staffs and dentists there and I highly recommend you to visit this dental surgery.

Unfortunately , i have a bad experience with one of dentist last Oct , it was my first visit and the dentist tried to do a X-rays for my teeth. then he put a x-ray film in my mouth, i have shown my eyes to him that was not good. he knew that was too big but he didn't try to stop, push in instead. i couldn't speak as the x-ray film was too big for my mouth. and i tried to shout out a few times to him to stop. as it was terribly discomfortable. Then he changed to a smaller one. i will never go back there. he was so mean to me. i don't recommend this place to other.
