Prouds the Jewellers Ballina

Visiting from the Gold Coast and was excited to pop in as I was in the Lismore store the day before and wanted to make a larger purchase while I was in the area. I was in the store 10 minutes and no one even acknowledged me. Had it been busy I could have understood, but it wasn’t overly busy, there was a staff member attending to stock in the window that knew I was there but didn’t even say hello. From what I can tell my attire was the issue, my hair was a little crazy from dangling a toddler into their seat for lunch - and apparently that changes the value of my money.Perhaps the staff from Ballina could visit the Lismore store to learn customer service.Such an important lesson in retail is never judge a customer by their appearance, I was looking for some bigger pieces for myself and Christmas presents. I would not recommend this store at all. I would however recommend the lovely jeweller towards the front of the centre wonderful service, a nicer range of product and cleaner store.

So helpful with finding the perfect Mothers Day gift.

Manager was rude. Doing an exchange of $200+ extras on purchase and it felt like I was being given poison. Assistant was lovely but her manager was a completely cold and rude person. Why do people serve in shops that don’t like people. Beyond me!!!

There is an idiot attempting to spruik from the Prouds store in Ballina Fair. We are next door in the lovely little coffee shop. His voice is completely inaudible but very very annoying. You can be sure we will not be shopping in that place henceforth....

I will never ever buy Jewellery from the Prouds. I paid more than $1000 to wedding rings of my wife and myself. The staff said that the 9c gold will be harder than the 18c in terms of tolerating scratches and fading in color. after a few weeks my ring got so many scratches that it looks like a second hand low quality material. My wife's ring, also faded from white gold to yellowish metal with similar scratches.When we were gone to a Prouds shop in Sydney and explain this, the shop staff tried to convince us that we have done unknown treat with the rings like we touched a lot of chemicals and we hurt the rings when washing ourselves in the toilet !!!??My wife and I, have a lot of jeweler all our lives but we had not this kind of bitter experience.
