Highly recommend! Had a quote elsewhere that seemed high, Mr cools quote was half as much and then on the day one of the parts wasn’t needed so was 500 less than expected. Very pleasant surprise and nice to find an honest mechanic. They even vacuumed and cleaned up the inside a bit which was well overdue and much appreciated. Organised and pleasant staff, happy to recommend them to others!

Update 2:I noticed you've edited your response from 'Ozone depleting' to 'Global warming' which is true but negligible compared to the exhaust gases that are emitted from the car every year. The new R1234yf gas being used in new cars these days has less Global Warming Potential than CO2 and doesn't even need a licence to handle.Update:Very interesting that you mention R-134a as Ozone depleting when it has ZERO Ozone depletion potential. I think you might be referring to the old R-12 refrigerant that was phased out a long time ago, nice try.I have taken two different cars to this place for a free quote at two very distant years. Both times they quoted for almost the entire refrigeration system to be replaced including compressor. One of the cars I took to another repairer who simply re-gassed the system and the cooling performance has been great for a number of years now. I was attracted to this business as it was a RACQ authorised repairer and the reviews seemed good however it seems this place is a bit shady under the surface.

Outrageously expensive and If I'm completely honest a complete con! telling me every component is leaking/bugged giving an quote of $3500 to replace evey component includeing an evaporator meaning huge labour cost in removing the dash and all the lines only to find out from someone else there is no leak at all as the system was holding gas and lines don't need to be replaced at all for a retrofit and the problem is more then likely a faulty compressor or tx Valve or both

Mr Cool give old fashioned outstanding service. They refused to fix anything until they diagnose the problem and did not charge me when they could not find one. Much better result than the estimated $1,900 I was quoted to fix the issue. Customer for life.

Highly recommend the team at Mr Cool. Turn around to looking at my car, constant communication on the process and although they couldn’t resolve the issue decided against charging me for any of the hours put into my car. Will be referring all my friends/ family around Brisbane area to this business. Happy customer from myself to Callum and the team at Mr Cool.

Got Air Con compressor done with them, an issue arose but I tell you what, the customer service & attitude was so professional & courteous, they fixed the issue. Great customer service guys, keep up the great work.

If you need anything done or looked at regarding your car aircon, this Is definitely the place to go. Service from these guys was awesome and Callum took the time to explain in detail what the problem was and gave me a detailed report with photos. Fantastic customer service.

They are another dodgy business lying to get more money out of you. Took my car to get the AC regassed, they told me it can't be done and the whole compressor needs to be replaced - quoting me over a $1000-1500. I asked if there was a way to repair it or any cheaper alternative as I couldn't afford to replace the whole compressor etc.. The guy told me the compressor is dead and there's no way around it.So I ended up driving my car the whole summer without AC in the Brisbane heat. The following year when I got my car serviced my mechanic also fixed my AC for 1/5th of the price - turns out my compressor was fine and did not need to be replaced at all.

Great customer service. I’ve had an on and off noise coming from my a/c. Of course the noise was happening when I dropped it off - Murphy’s law - they spent a lot of time to diagnose and didn’t charge me. Suggested I come back when the noise reoccurs. I would definitely recommend and come back.
