Three weeks ago I bought a second hand bed frame from there. They told me it was a double bed. I gave them $100 for it and $20 to have it delivered.When we put it together it was either a queen or a king- either way it was useless to us. Second Chances, via a rude man with an English accent, refused to refund me the money and take the bed back. They would of course, take the bed back but with no refund.I am on a study allowance and cannot afford groceries, let alone give away $100 to a rude and obnoxious man and an organisation that would do well to rethink their reputation.I have given 2 stars because the chaps that sold me the bed gave excellent customer service and were friendly and helpful. The manager was the problem and needs an attitude adjustment.I will keep posting this review until justice is served and I get a refund.

Great place to get a bargain and really helpful staff.

Good quality furniture at rock bottom prices. Freindly service. It has wheelchair access. A toilet is available. Furniture and electrical goods can be donated .

Didn’t meet the rude man that works there, but the lady that helped us was lovely. All proceeds go to a good cause too.

I am absolutely gob smaked at the disrespect and rudness that I have just received from the truck driver that came to collect a lounge suite that I had kindly donated. Lounge suite was in excellent condition. No marks, no tears, cost just under 3000 for both two seater. It had been sitting under my carport under a tarp for some time, which I told them on first contact so was in need of a good vacuum. On arrival two guys thoroughly inspected it and agreed to take it. On loading the first lounge into the truck the truck driver said I don't think we should take it because it needs a vacuum. The other guy objected and said it's in good condition I think we should. A big discussion erupted between the two in front of me. I then said to the driver are you actually serious? He said yes. My response was "wow I cannot believe you...there is nothing wrong with it and I am trying to do a kind thing here to help those in need out! He came back with "a kind thing...you should be grateful we are getting rid of your junk for you" I was just gobsmacked at this remark! I said it just needs to be vacuumed that's all. He then said "what and you couldn't even be bothered to do that for us. I was furious at this point and told him how rude he was. He then rudely said ah settle down with so much disrespect that I had to walk away as I was now speechless. I will never donate or recommend anyone to donate anything to this mob ever again. Very sad for those in need but perhaps this business should look at the type of people they have working for them in the future!"

Don't rely on them to pick up your donated furniture. Booked three weeks out, even confirmed the day before re pick up. All OK they said. Get a phone call on the morning of collection 'we have no room for your donation'. Really really poor to do that.

amazing customer service, super helpful to me and knocked off some of the price of my items because i was getting so much and it was being delivered. absolutley will come back if i need anything more.

Staff were super friendly and helpful at first. We bought over $800 worth of furniture, including a washing machine, and they were kind enough to put this on a payment plan. We got the washing machine in October of 2021 and it was broken by January of 2022. We had it looked at by a repairman and he said it wasn’t fixable. I called up the store to ask them if they could give me my wife’s money back or if they could replace it. I was told that the washing machine could not be replaced and it was really “too bad” that this happened to us. So my wife is still paying off a washing machine that we had to throw out after a few months. I thought this store was all about helping out low-income families. Apparently not. Will not be buying from this store again and will advise anyone who is thinking about it not to.

Went to the store and it has the hours in the front saying they are open until 4pm but the store is currently closed. Which I get that things happen and sometimes that is just going to be the case but at the very least leave a note on the door explaining

Trading hours say 10am to 3pm on a Saturday, get there and the shop sign in the window says closed. Waste of time and petrol, thank you.
