The Fraternity Club

Food was horrible! Except the calamari that was great. Chicken schnitzel came out, chips were cold and the schnitzel was undercooked on the outside seemed to have been pan fried in oil which is fine but the sides of the chicken weren’t cooked doesn’t seem like the oil was deep enough should have been picked up on when it was plated. If you can’t get a schnitzel right (the most common meal at clubs) what hope does the rest of the food have.

Went for lunch at the Frat. Usually no hiccups, have been s member for years. Husbands club card did not work at the checkout after ordering a lunch worth 52.00. The card had worked throughout the club during the same visit. Was given 1.00 off the meal as members. Not impressed at all. Is this the treatment given to long term patrons and club members.

Food in the bistro last night was revolting. Chicken schnitzel was dripping in oil with no taste. I won’t be back in a hurry. Anyone looking for a nice feed go across the road like I did and get a feed from the bistro at the cabbage tree hotel bistro.

Dinner on Wednesday night, ordered steak & veges. Medium rare with Dianne sauce. Cost non member $40. What a disappointment, steak was so tuff. Dianne sauce was just gravy. The vegetables were mash (the best thing), cauliflower was not cooked at all. I should have gone to a steakhouse where I would have been served & better quality. Very very disappointing

70s night at the Frat has to come down as one of the best evenings in decades. The atmosphere was electric, everything about the night, from The DJ, the wonderful smorgasbord, the dancing and the crowd was brilliant. Need to have these nights more often. I think everyone agreed that it was the best evenings ever.

We had a wake in the Renaissance Room yesterday and I wanted to share my appreciation.From the first phone call with Sarah, she was so professional and helpful. When dealing with a grieving family member, they understand that there’s a lot going on and go above and beyond, like not charging any deposit up front, the didn’t charge room hire, they were really flexible with time and menu options.They handled the wake with incredible sensitivity by making the process so easy, and on top of it the food was tasty and plentiful, the service was patient and kind. They even packaged up leftovers and had it ready in a trolley ready to wheel to car, which Bank the waiter/barman did patiently. Thank you Lisa for sorting the bill quickly.Thank you Bank for being an attentive barman.

Dinner at il bene, The Fraternity Club. We had a pizza, a walnut rocket salad and fries.

Have eaten their 4 times now and can say Impressed with the food. 1st time had lunch special Roast Pork with vegetable. At $10, great price. But pork overcooked and couldn't put my fork in the cauliflower and carrots.
