Attended a 50th birthday party which happened to be upstairs. Not suitable for people with disabilities. Three steps to enter premises, don't know if there is a ramp at back. Only access is a stairway with 33 stairs to the terrace. No toilets upstairs. No dumb waiter for food. Staff have to carry everything up the stairs. Finger food wasn't great. The chicken burgers were way overcooked. Atmosphere was great. Can't comment on restaurant downstairs. Probably fantastic for younger, fitter people. Won't go again.

This place never disappoints! It has been a regular go-to for a long time now & has always been amazing! The atmosphere, food, drinks & service are always outstanding. I recently had a birthday party on the top level & the staff couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommend!

Wow missed out on getting in to this great please but finally got in and we were certainly not disappointed. The staff were excellent and extremely friendly. We had an entree before our main meal in which I had pork belly and my wife had the scotch fillet both were amazing such delicious food and tasted amazing. Well worth the experience to all the staff keep up the good work love it we loved every minute of the great service.

Was very sad to hear about this venue having to change their name.Our experience here has been fantastic, we have tried out the cocktail making class for a hens party and it was well worth it. I was actually making mock-tails as was unable to drink that day and they were just like the real thing. All of the drinks we have tried here are delicious and the venue itself is stunning! Cannot wait to return and enjoy it again.

We booked a table for dinner. The place was busy on a Saturday night, the music was loud, the service although friendly was slow. We ordered some drinks to start with and some marinated olives. We waited 40min for our drinks to arrive and then another 10min for our olives. By this point we were starving. The olives finally arrived, they were half cold, tiny, and the marinade was plain, with some dry crackers on the side. The menu looked outdated and uninspiring. (Chicken breast, Salmon or Steak) and overpriced. It’s a real shame because the venue, bar and drinks are fantastic. We left and found a more satisfying place to eat nearby.

We had my partners 30th here last light and it was amazing, the food was perfect and timely, drink incredible, and everyone was so accommodating and flexible with what we were planning to do.Massive shout out to Ben, Amy and Sophie, you guys are awesome and we appreciate everything you did for us on the night and leading up to the event! Thank you, we look forward to coming back!!

Heritage venue with amazing ambience. What an exquisite meal, how do you give 7 stars. Absolutely perfectly cooked steak AND fish. Cocktails were also fantastic, if you're looking for an all star night, go here. Best in Newcastle.

An absolutely beautiful building, inside and out, let down by the worst service in the history of hospitality.Recently attended mid week with a group and the staff didn't want to come near us. We had to wave our arms to get their attention, they made us order from an app and when they did finally come near our table, they wandered off mid way through the conversation we were having with them.When our food finally came, it was average at best. Not to mention some people's entre's came at the same time as others mains, this despite the fact we all ordered at the same time off the app.
