I keep coming back year after year. Rob, George and the team are always great. I've had major mechanical work done, brakes, suspension, engine replacement, and many many regular services. The quality of their work is impeccable, and their attitude to service and communication just perfect. Highly recommended.

Got a pre purchase inspection done through Melbourne auto works and they were very honest with me of the condition the car was in that I was looking to buy. They could of taken the work from me but did me a favour and talked me out of purchasing the car due to the poor condition of it.Professional and Honest shop

So I have been going to these guys for almost every issue of my car. But off recently the experiences haven’t been good. For example a job that may require just 5 minutes is usually charged 2 hours and honestly that’s a bit of screwing the other person. That also breaks the trust you have.Otherwise they do a good job if only they could fix their pricing and not mugging everyone it would be a decent place

I have had my car serviced by Robert twice. I agree that you pay on the higher end but they are RACV accredited and its worth if for the clear communication and fast service they provide.I don't feel like they are that much more than other 'cheap' mechanics I've been to anyway.I also am so impressed with how they can keep the workshop looking so clean ... how do they do it??

AVOID THIS BUSINESS! I regret taking my car to get serviced here. You will dodge a huge bullet avoiding contact with this business! I took my ute in to get an oil leak and electrical service done. They charged me over 6k for this incrementally to try lock you in fixing one thing at a time, one part at a time with through the roof labour rates. After a month back and forth in and out of the workshop they failed to rectify the issues. They took no responsibility. They persisted to want to charge me more for other parts. Quoting me another 1.5k for Rocker cover in 'goodwill' that retails at Volkswagen for $600. I refused so they told me that I am responsible for my car and to go somewhere else. After I had an argument with them they didn't attach my front bumper correctly in spite of the situation. Then they didn't refund me a cent. Picking up my car on the very first day it smelt of burgers and there was left-over takeaway food rubbish thrown on the ground in the backseat of my car with greasy fingerprints all over the cabin - so apparently they also like to have lunch in your car too! They charge maximal prices for very minimal effort/poor work and lack of experience services. After my experience with them they worsened my oil leak and made me pay for parts and labour that I didn't need. Wasting a month of my time, a wasting 6k and now and open case with consumer affairs thats being escalated to VCAT.On another note. They have extremely patronising and rude staff members specifically George, Rob and the miserable woman at the front desk. Who are full of attitude, defensive verbally abusive compulsive liars. Who give you false assurance and sugar coat their lies then persist to gaslight you when you catch them out.The bottom line is this business is really really behind the times and so backwards. All they care about is money and they put themselves before the customers, taking advantage of any situation they can. They like to have no responsibility whatsoever with no remorse. Its unfortunate that there are businesses like this and its sad that there are so many others who have had horrible experiences with them. Anyone thats having good experiences must be oblivious. I am usually not one to complain but this experience was actually horrible. I wish I could leave this review with 0 stars.

They charged me $1200 for a service and to change the spark plugs. The manager greased his words to justify it. Simply just overpriced labour.Never again.

I had my vehicle towed here after RACV mechanics declared the battery and starter motor was not the problem. After letting them know that the starter motor was not the problem, I received a call three days later saying they have spent 6 hours on the car and tried to replace the starter motor which didn't fix the issue. I was charged $180 in labour for them to tell me that they still don't know what is wrong with it and they would need to spend a lot more time on it, so I ended up taking it elsewhere and even though no progress was made I was still charged. Not sure if genuine or incompetent.Edit/response: I specifically instructed that it was previously diagnosed as not the battery or starter motor, yet you insisted on charging me for labour to replace the starter motor which did not fix the issue. After taking my car to a different mechanic, my problem was fixed within one business day which surprised me as you stated it requires several hours to be fixed and potentially wouldn't be ready until the new year.

The guys did a good job on the RACV pre-purchase report and RWC. They even saved me money on the 4 new tyres! Very good service and fair pricing. Thanks!

Great friendly professional service. Sent me a video of the required issues on my car with explanation of what was required. Sent me an pro forma invoice with detailed breakdown of costs before performing the work. Explained what was urgent and what could be done over a period of time. Didn't try hard sell when I told them what I could afford to get done and worked with me to give the best outcome for the car and my budget.
