Staff refused to accept a contactless credit card for a purchase below $5 and demanded cash. Not only incredible during Covid times, but also in breach of their contracts with Mastercard /Visa , who require businesses that accept their cards, to do so for any value purchase.When advised this, we were then told the manager has checked it out and says he can impose a minimum limit. Wrong!This is Visa's unambiguous written advice for example.'Visa has certain regulations that all merchants accepting Visa cards must follow. One of those rules is that Visa merchants are not permitted to establish minimum transaction amounts, even on sale items.'
