Hot, full of flies, mozzies and angry ants; grasses and herbs that stick to clothing. Nature at it's most honest.There is a shelter and toilets halfway on the main path, most of the rest is flooded.It is closed...

Very enjoyable walk. Someone needs to cut the reeds so you can see the water from the paths. Nice place to relax

Closed at the moment after flooding. Lots of birds around the entrance and there is a short walk the otherside of the wetlands but there are trespassing notices everywhere. Not very welcoming.

I'll admit I'm surprised to see positive reviews of this place, but I suppose we all experience these things differently. And, truth be told, the photos I've included may also give the impression that the place is worth visiting. It's somewhat neglected. There is no view from most paths unless very tall weeds are of interest, and it's short. I guess the boardwalks (such as they are) occasionally open up to views of the Murray, but overall I wasn't terribly impressed. The trails along the other side of the river are far more beautiful - and offer walks of multiple kilometers rather than barely one.
