Rise & Shine Kindergarten Summer Hill

The best experience ever for our princess!We have had our daughter at rise and shine since the beginning of 2019 by far it has been the best experience for us as new parents. My husbands family live interstate and I have only one parent who is too frail to help, when I had to return to work after maternity leave I was too scared to allow our only child out of my sight, she had a terrible health scare that had her hospitalised for two weeks just prior to her first attending daycare. The thought of leaving her in daycare was so scary! The educators were wonderful, so friendly and keeping me up to date with pictures and I could always talk to the director. I was scared when I heard that a new director would come to the centre with all we had been through with our daughters health and my husbands work.Welcome Bec. She was like sunshine on a rainy day! So passionate, so lovely, she made it a personal mission of hers to make all the parents feel at ease for choosing to send their most precious gifts to daycare! Thank you Bec, I can work and our family flourishes knowing you are there everyday putting in such a good job!

My little ones had spent 2 lovely years with this outstanding child care. Great staffs, and the educators are so loving and caring, they understand each kid is different and are able to focus on their varies interests. There are always amazing learning projects going on in the preschool room too. What I personally appreciate the most is the engagement of group time here, it really makes a difference in developing kids social and people skills.

My firstborn started at RSK SH in its early days in 2018. I'm a first time parent and I was really nervous and sad to leave my child. Yet from day one I felt completely safe leaving him there with the educators and he's even got the same educator 1.5 years later! (we love you Steph!).Yes there have been management changes which has been a bit concerning, but the educators have never stopped being passionate and professional and my child is learning so much. The current director is the best yet.I thank RSK SH for the community we feel a part of and for their care and development of my child.

We have just started here this year and the centre changes director every couple of months which has been ongoing since they opened and the current director is the worst one yet. Patronising and rude and completely ignores people. They shouldn’t be allowed to just move bad people around. Such a let down because the educators in my sons class are quite lovely and competent

Here at rising & Shine Kindergarten, we have developed our own unique curriculum to ensure your child is learning and developing holistically; it’s called the Shine Advantage program. We know that learning letters and numbers is important for your child, but it’s only one small part of how they will grow and develop as a person. In order to promote the holistic development of your child, our curriculum consists of five key elements.

Both our children go here and have done so from nursery. The educators are wonderful and it’s a relief to have such caring people looking after out children - they’ve created real, lasting bonds which is comforting! The support staff are amazing and the floor managers and 2IC are super helpful and friendly!Since the pandemic they’ve implemented Covid safe practices which gave us an immense amount of comfort in sending our children there. The practices are reflective of the peaks and troughs of the pandemic and we are so grateful that the health and safety of our children and the staff has been at the forefront of all the decisions. Thanks team!

We found this kindergarten to be unsafe and unsupervised.We have had to remove our daughter due to safety issues & lack of attention. When the daycare was assessed this year, it was noted that the doors were unsafe and needed to be adjusted. This was completely ignored resulting in my daughter having a serious accident that required surgery. Still, nothing was done on the doors. I kept asking them to fix it and minor adjustments were made after 2 months of constantly asking.Often I would pick up my daughter and staff ratios were not right. When I asked the teacher about it they told me they had too many children. Often my daughter would come home saying she was called names. When I brought this up I was brushed off, saying that they never heard anything said and that my daughter is happy. Finally after giving them multiple chances for 1.5 years and being lied to about multiple other issues, we had enough and pulled her out. Our precious children need much better than this!!

Our experience with Rise and Shine was quite positive. Our daughter attended rise and shine for about 9 months. She loved coming to the center every day. Her educators were really caring and and really lovely. We saw her going from being really shy to outgoing in that time. We were really skeptical when we had to move out of Summer hill about how will our daughter adjust to the new place because she loved her educators so much. We would recommend Rise and Shine to anyone in Summer hill and surrounds.

Overall a very positive experience for my daughter who loves coming here. She is well looked after and given lots of opportunities to play and do various activities. Great educators. Great facilities. Well run centre.

My daughter always has good time here. They offer caring good educators, nice and clean facility, lots of activities which is not easy to do at home. Since it’s not easy to get help from our family, it’s been great having a spot for my daughter here. Now she got friends and looks forward to going to this centre.It’s true that they’ve been changing director several times, we had to say goodbye to some nice educators. But educators here are making so much effort on children to provide warm environment. We’re just so thankful.
