Melbourne Coffee Academy

Charles and Justin are doing an excellent job running this academy. I took the basic espresso and latte art courses and really liked both of them. The course material is well structured and easy to follow. You also have the chance to spend a lot of time practicing the theory that makes the course particularly valuable. Justin was the main instructor and he was very attentive and supportive throughout, ready to answer any sort of questions. I learned a lot and will definitely come back for a more advanced course once visiting Australia again! :)

Great teacher and practical tips. Really enjoy the class. Recommended to drive to the building instead of taking public transport. Highly recommended if u are looking for a course to lighten ur passion towards coffee as well as practise what u learnt on class. Instructor was truly patient and experienced.

Melbourne's best place to learn professional coffee skills. Lecturer Justin has very professional coffee knowledge and background and many years of experience as a master barista. The way he expresses is also very engaging and actively demonstrates various key skills.

I took two classes at Melbourne Coffee Academy (Basic Espresso and Latte Art) last week and both classes were amazing! The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and I loved that the classes were so hands on. It gave me the confidence to get behind the coffee machine and start making coffees straight away!

A great course for any coffee lover who wants to know what goes into preparing a great tasting latte. Justin was a fantastic teacher, extremely patient and by the end of the session, we could even pull off basic latte art! If you already have a machine at home, the coffee you'll now be able to coax out of that that will go up several notches. Highly recommended.

The Basic Espresso course was so well structured and in depth. I loved how there was both theory and practical, to help us better understand what we were learning. Justin was an excellent instructor - super attentive and tailored the course and advice to each of our skill level. I came with no experience in making espresso drinks but left able to make a decent latte! An amazing course and school, I will definitely be back for their other courses when I'm back in Melbourne! Great experience, lots of fun - 100% recommend it.

Really enjoyed the Basic Espresso course. Encouraging and supportive teaching. (Thank you Frank!) We feel more confident and skilled with our coffee making now. In addition to new skills we were given an understanding of what we were doing and why.My son and I plan to do the next course and he was also interested in the Barista Apprenticeship course.I get the sense that this is the start of a journey and an introduction to a friendly new learning community.

I hung out with Frank on Saturday to attend the Basic course. What a great experience. He was amazing. Very knowledgeable, friendly and the ambiance was perfect. I learned heaps about how to do a fantastic coffee. By the end I actually made a passable one, thanks to Frank's tuition.I recommend this course to anyone, even those with some knowledge, this will take you to the next level.

Fantastic!!We booked in for the Masterclass in April but due to work commitments had to cancel. Charles went above and beyond to try and accommodate us at a different time, a time that suited us, as we were also travelling from interstate. They created a bespoke class, just for us, to ensure we got the training we needed. I was already impressed before we even arrived.The course itself is second to none. Justin, our trainer is am expert in the industry. He's an engaging trainer, fun, friendly, interested in us and our goals. Justin pushed us hard, to get maximum results. We never realised how much there is to know about coffee! We walked away feeling so satisfied with what we learnt and the progress we made, thanks to Justin.Would recommend this great place to anyone!! Great team, Hugh quality training. Perfect!
