What a little gem this salon is! Kim has been doing my hair FOREVER, but I've also had some of the other girls do my hair. I've always left feeling fantastic and been pleased with the service. Whenever I need a little pick me up, I book in for a new do and have never been disappointed. Love them. My daughters also get their hair done at Artistic and the team do a wonderful job on their hair too.

I have used numerous hairdressers in the redlands over the years but after my first consult I was sold that artistic was the best. The salon is first class whilst also being very affordable. Staff are wonderful and friendly. They listened to what I wanted and now I trust them 100% to do what they feel is best for my hair, I love my colour and cut every time and always get compliments. Plus their sink chair has a massage setting...what more could you want!

Great service. Kim was patient and kind and really listened to what I wanted. Have had trouble finding someone locally who could layer my mop of curls and I am really happy with her work. Hope to be an ongoing customer of her salon.

I had the best experience at Artisitic Hair. Ella was so lovely and really listened to my hair goals. Ella was very professional and informative. All staff are so friendly and attentive. Overall a very relaxing experience and I will be returning. Highly recommend!!

I want to start this review by saying i’ve been to this hairdresser before, and had a lovely job done on my hair and was very happy. The hairdresser has gone on maternity leave so was unable to do hair.My mum and I came in to have our hair coloured before my sisters wedding. My hair was half a head of blonde foils. My hair wasn’t terrible. It was ok - definitely not good enough that i’ll go back, but it was fine enough for what I needed.My mums hair is thick and had lots of grey regrowth was blonde brassy blonde through the rest of it. Since my mums hair is so think and frizzy the owner of the salon decided to take over. My mum showed a picture of what colour she was after, and was told no - because it would be the opposite of what mum had been trying to achieve. The hairdresser advised us she would put brown foils throughout to soften mums hair and help blend everything in. I had said “please don’t put thick foils in as we don’t want her to have stripes in my hair. My mum was stressed, worried and confused and said ‘please I just want to look beautiful for my daughters wedding’ we couldn’t picture what was being said but trusted the hairdresser to do the right thing. Let me stress, that it was made clear by my mum and myself that they greys and the blonde needed to be gone - there was absolutely no confusion around that.I’m going to cut an already long story short and say that at the end mum still had a thick ring of grey, blonde brassy hair but now with thick brown stripes that didn’t even go to her roots (I would say they started a finger width at least from her scalp). It really did look terrible. It actually looked the same as when she walked in, but now with stripes. To say my mum was devastated is an understatement and when we tried to say something, the owner would double down on what she had done. Even when my mum said ‘but my hair is still yellow?’ She was told ‘toner wouldn’t do anything anyway.’ We paid and left. I kept trying to tell my mum it was ok because she was so upset. But it really wasn’t and i still often think about how they could have comfortably taken mums money looking at the job they did on her hair.It was truly that bad that my sister and I, for mothers day paid for mums hair to be redone. She got the the hair she wanted and did look beautiful for my sisters wedding. But it was absolutely no thanks to this hairdresser, all they did was waste our time and take our money.**Edited to add - The response by the owner is a bit twisted to suite her narrative. But thats fine. She lost two customers and maybe thats better for all involved. The reality is, it was a terrible job and to come here and double down on that is downright rude.

FORMAL HAIR TRIAL WASN’T GOODI went there for a formal trial and had high hopes. I showed them a photo of one of their girls with their hair curled and asked for it to be this way and I came out and was literally embarrassed. I paid $55 for my hair to be curled and it wasn’t even done properly. It waved out around my face like a banana and there were lines all across the back of my hair. I’m glad I got a trial because if that happened on my formal day I would of cried. I surprisingly had better outcomes by a friend of mine who just curled my hair at her house. An absolute joke. Wouldn’t recommend having your hair curled there.

I would not recommend going here! I had been told how amazing this hair salon was through family. This was my first time visiting a different hair salon from my go to regular. When i arrived i had told the stylist what i normally get done (half a head of balayage) but she insisted that half a head of foils should be more than enough for a freshen up. I agreed thinking this would be okay. I believe this stylist was an emerging stylist (an apprentice) but throughout my entire appointment never had anything checked or consulted with a senior stylist. After i had everything washed out at the sink it was time for my toner and i had said that i prefer a cool icy blonde. However, what i saw when my hair was being dried did not resemble what colour i had wanted. I also had paid for my hair to be trimmed and had asked for longer layers, once the stylist was finished she then showed me my hair with a mirror, i had thought that because i wanted it to be straightened that it was the layers i could see. But after i left the salon and got home i saw what had been done. It was not the colour i had asked for. Although i did not say anything when i was leaving i am extremely surprised a stylist could let me walk out this salon considering how obvious the mess up was. Considering this appointment was costly i would not have expected this outcome. I have attached photos to this review to show the outcome of what my hair looked like. Luckily i had an appointment with my regular salon a few days later that i hadn’t cancelled. I had gone in to ask them to fix what had just been done to my hair. They had told me that i had banding in my hair from where the new bleach had been put in and that the bleach at the top of my hair had bled and that’s what resembled an orange tinge. I am very disappointed overall and will not be returning again.
