I came in for dinner, was greated by the kitchen staff and very friendly waitress, I was given a complimentary dish to start with, not sure what's it called by I tasted delightful. I was given tap water bottle straight away without questions asked, I like this, they are not trying to sell me things. I have ordered Lamb Pepper Masala, cheese garlic naan and coconut rice. They asked the amount of spiciness I want, that's very considerate. Everything tasted fantastic, fresh and just beautiful. I'll definitely will be back next time I'm in Newcastle.Thanks a lot.

AVATARA RESTAURANT
We got the goat curry and the okra as well as the peshawari chicken. The naan is super fresh and the dishes are all flavour filled. The service is exemplary and really tops off the experience. The menu is full of different options and I’m looking forward to going back and exploring it more.

If you want to eat authentic indian food, then I would recommend this place. I ate in alot of restaurants in Sydney and none of the restaurants has as good food as this restaurant.The chef is highly talented to bring the Indian authenticity in all of the dishes.We orderedDal makhani - It was at its best.Chaap Masala - ate after such a long time. It was soft and melts in your mouth.Mango lassi - thickness and taste was perfect.Chilli chicken- The best Indian style chilli chicken I had so far in Sydney.Kriti was highly skilled at customer service and greeted well.And last but not the least, The AMBIANCE!!I highly recommend to sit outside for great ambience and view.

Excellent delicious tasting food. The spice sensation varied from dish to dish. There is a dish to suit all tastes and the chef is able to customise the strength of spice to your taste bud preference. A great place to dine for the whole family with friendly staff.

My dinner experience was exceptional in this restaurant. I have been hearing from around but couldn’t have a chance to dine in since last night but anyway the food was phenomenal with a reasonable price. In my opinion the best Indian and Nepalese restaurant in the town. I’ve seen them the chefs are cooking everything from scratch and fresh. I ordered chicken momos, curries, beef vindaloo and biryani rice. The meals are delicious on the point. I’m definitely coming back again. It’s a decent menu still I wanted to try other meals. Highly recommended.

Legitimately the best restaurant around Newcastle . Doesn’t matter what I get I end up liking it. My family and I have been eating here for a few months now. They make the Nepalese Dumplings (Mo:Mo) and Indian food and probably the best foods I’ve had in Newcastle. I have tried many other restaurants around Newcastle for Nepalese and Indian food but this is the best destination I recommend to all.Thank you Avatara Team.

One of the best restaurant in the Darby Street, New Castle, NSW, Australia.I recently had a fantastic meal at this restaurant, the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was also excellent. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience.If you are fond of Indian and Middle eastern cuisine please come to Avatara Restaurant.I highly recommend.
