Mama's is a takeaway Fish and chips shop and I wouldn't go anywhere else in my local area. Friendly staff, generous servings and very fresh.

Possibly the best batter on any fish I've had takeaway. Super light and crispy, not oily at all, and the hake itself was good. The portion size of the chips was tiny though (about half of what is in the fish and chips photos). Nothing fundamentally wrong, and I will go back to try the snapper which seems to get great reviews.

Would start with complimenting owner's response to negative reviews online. Have been a customer of Mama's for awhile & our usual preference is Red Emperor which on one occasion the portion size was noticeably inadequate but were given potato scallop free. Otherwise, they try to keep the customers happy with warm service, food quality & price at half the cost of any local restaurant. Make mine Mama's.

This is Perth’s best kept secret. At $11 for a very generous serve of delicious fish and chips. The fish is always fresh with a thin, light, crunchy batter. The chips are always fresh and crunchy. When they tell you 10mins- it is ready in 10mins! Be there and bring it home fresh and you can’t be disappointed. Must try if you haven’t already. Thanks for the reliable top feed every time Mama’s F&C!!

My son and I are fish and chip enthusiasts and don’t often leave reviews. Excellent service, delish fish and chips, the batter is the best we have had and not oily at all. Portion of chips a little small but expected given current market pricing - taste and quality more than make up for it, especially given that it is $11.90 a serve. Thank you Mamas, we will be back again!

This is what $8 worth of chips looks like, not even a handful. When mentioning this the young lady behind the counter even looked embarrassed by the amount of chips. If you can't afford to serve chips without a massive markup then maybe it's time to get out of the chip game.

Please increase your chip portions as you are risking loosing business. Maybe change your supplier but I have been going for years and in the last few months I have been there the chip sizes have been too small. Best chips I have ever had, seriously a hidden gem. 100 percent recommend this place.

Prices are reasonable, chip serves are small but I guess that's normal these days. We've had it twice now and the food has been good. Squid rings were tender. We also ordered snapper, crab sticks, pineapple fritters and dim sim and everything was cooked to perfection, not over cooked or under. Service is friendly and quick.
