On a positive note, the food was really great. Each course was delicious and beautifully presented. The desserts were standouts, especially the Baked Alaska. Probably skip the beef fillet, it wasn't too memorable and also costs extra.Unfortunately, the wait times were simply unacceptable. We waited 30 minutes from the amuse bouche to first course, 50 minutes between our first and second course and 40 minutes between second course and dessert (by looking at the time stamps on my photos). I completely understand if it's a rough day in the kitchen etc. however there were tables around us being served the same dishes in less time and were luckily in and out the door. That means 2 hours of waiting time plus the time taken to sit down, look at the menu and eat brought us to nearly 3 hours in this restaurant. If you have a full day planned, steer clear of this place. While the food was great, I regret dining here as it really cut our time down in visiting other wineries in the Hunter.

This probably the most delicious foods in this 10 days trip. Nice place, clean, comfortable. All food in the course are great accept the beef is cooked too raw for a “medium” even we asked the kitchen to re-cook. Other dishes are perfect, very tasty!

Exceptional meal and really warm staff. The scallops were absolutely perfect. Only regret was choosing the lamb as my main - it was perfectly cooked however in hindsight lamb chops made the meal feel more Gastro Pub than what MK can really deliver.

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. We accidentally wounded up here thinking this was the muse restaurant. It was a nice surprise. The location is beautiful and if you have little kids this is a great place since there’s a lovely garden for them to just hang out whilst you enjoy your meal. The service was professional and welcoming. We did have to wait for 20 minutes to be seated despite having a booking. But it was a nice surrounding and we didn’t mind hanging outside. The seating could be more comfortable given the price of the menu and the elegance they are trying to bring to the table. The garden chairs outside are quite uncomfortable to sit over a 3 course meal.As for the food a few things were exceptionally delicious but the rest were just above average. We did think the presentation on the lamb and the fish Kiev could do better.Although I’ve give 4* I think they can up their game a bit more to deserve that. But definitely above 3* based in our experience.

Impeccable service from the moment you enter. We were greeted by Megan who opened the doors for us and warmly welcomed us inside, which really set the tone for the service ahead. She continued her attentive and professional service throughout our stay. It was a little noisy inside where we were seated (near the service counter) but the décor was tasteful, and we were relatively comfortable despite this.I had the scallops for entrée which were beautifully cooked, and the accompanying sweetbreads were delectable and added great texture. For the main, I ordered the cod and mussels, although it was pleasant to eat, and I had no real complaints, it was the least favourite of the three courses. It came with what was promised on the menu and each element was quite tasty, however the combination just didn’t work for me. I’ll try something else next time. For dessert, I had the Baked Alaska, a divine finish to the meal and hands down my favourite course. There was a bit of a wait between courses, but we didn’t mind at all as the lunch was the main event for our group catch up and it would’ve been appropriate if they rushed us through the meal. We were able to sit and chat, and actually found it very relaxing. We didn’t even notice the wait time to be honest. We had been presented with some very tasty appetisers which abated our hunger until the first course came out and I'm sure this helped enormously! However, if you are wanting a quick feed, or on a time limit, I’d recommend finding another option.Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. All my friends and I (group of 5) had a really fun time, and went home with full and happy tummies.

We saw that this place is pet friendly so we came here with our 2 fur babies as we really wanted to try their lunch menu. When we arrived, we were told that the dogs are not allow to be seated next to us outdoor, but to be tied onto a tree that was 50m away from us. We had no issues with that. But because one of our cavoodles have really bad seperation anxiety, we didn't get to finish out course. We only tried their entrees and their wine. Unfortunately, we had to leave early because our girls were unsettled. The place require you to make full payment for the course even if you don't seat through it. The waitress was nice enough to allow use to take away our bottle of red wine and prepared us a cheese platter to take away. This place isn’t really pet friendly if you’re looking for a pet friendly restaurant to dine at. Do not recommend for pet owners who wish to bring their dogs with them.

Disappointing. Scallops were a little overdone in the entree. Roast cod in the main was cooked well but the dish in general was barely warm and it was a stretch to mention smoked mussels in the dish as it felt like there was maybe just the 1 mussel cut up and spread around the sauce. Baked Chocolate dessert was very nice.Atmosphere is good and the wait staff were thoughtful. Unfortunately service from the kitchen was particularly slow for the main which was 1 hour after the entree. This was our 2nd visit to Muse and we'll be looking elsewhere to dine for our next visit to the Hunter.

A stunning location in the Hunter, part of the Keith Tulloch winery, with amazing food to match. The staff are polite, friendly, and attentive. Great for celebrating a special occasion.
